They do not let you cancel your account.

As my plan came up for renewal I immediately attempted to cancel my account, deleted all WordPress sites from my account, and submitted the "cancellation request" so that I would not have to pay another $290.

NOW THEY TRYING TO CHARGE ME FOR THE MONTH DESPITE HAVING ZERO SITES ON MY PLAN AND SUBMITTING THE CANCELLATION AND EVEN WORSE THEY ARE TRYING TO CHARGE ME FOR ANOTHER MONTH!

Thats close to $600 for a plan with zero sites all because they wont let you delete your account and for you to "request" a cancellation.

This is absolutely preposterous. I am trying to delete my account so I never have to deal with WPEngine again and they are trying to bill me for 2 months after I have deleted all my sites and tried to cancel?

WPEngine please just cancel and delete my account and cancel my billing. I will happily remove this review if we can rectify this and I can speak to someone other than the AI support bot. Account name - darrenpeel

Unfortunately WP can only help you close an account (or stop recurring charges) if you know the domain name you’re paying for, not your credit card info. So instead of being able to use them to cancel an account, you need to go through the credit card company, which is much more cumbersome. And keeps WP to keep charging you, which really seems predatory. I understand they’re praised as a platform but as someone who doesn’t use them and is trying to cancel an old recurring charge it’s more than frustrating.

WPEngine is a horrible WordPress host. They remove some of the best parts of WordPress, and lie about it for money.

Post Revisions are an essential feature, and it's disgusting they turn them off and refuse to turn it back on in full.

I have had a server at WP Engine for the past 5 years and the experience has been excellent. The platform is incredibly stable and the support team is absolutely outstanding. I just had an issue that required some assistance and the support rep, Syed, did an incredible job of sorting out my issues and working through them until they had all been resolved and confirmed to be working. He also helped me with a separate issue and was able to get that knocked out in a matter of minutes. Support like this is what keeps me a happy client and I can't say enough kind things about Syed and the rest of the WP Engine team. Thanks everyone!

They provide excellent support, always trying different things to help troubleshoot issues. Even helping when the issue is not related to their services at all. Wait time is also never too long around 5-15minutes to get in touch with an agent. Keep it up WPengine, so good working with you.

I am very happy with WP Engine. I use them for my critical websites and they have done extremely well. I moved off Site5, which over the years devolved into a rolling nightmare and switched to WP Engine for my critical, higher traffic websites. Customer service, very good. Speed, very good. Stability, Excellent. When you have to have stable, high performing websites, WP Engine is the place to go.
