Westminster is an outstanding facility with a caring staff, a good medical team, and an extraordinary physical therapy team. I extend my deepest appreciation to Kim, Trixie, Michelle, and their unrelenting dedication to their patients—simply amazing people. Everyone on staff tries to take a team approach. I speak for myself here but I have been told the same by many others who have been there for rehabilitation.

No rehab or assisted living or nursing home is perfect but Westminster is at the top of the good list in this area.

My grandma lives here and LOVES it. There must be some sort of niceness test for both staff and residents--Everyone is incredibly kind and thoughtful. Depending on the level of care needed, Florida Presbyterian Homes has lots of living options, plus a variety of organized activities. It's nice to know your loved ones are in good hands here!

My husband was a patient in rehab at this facility. I cannot say enough about the care and treatment he received. Everyone was very kind, caring and professional. His nurse Cindy Marsh always went above and beyond what was required. I highly recommend this facility

Recently my mother stayed at this facility and had rehab for a few weeks. Overall the staff was friendly, but we did have some things that happened that we weren't too happy about. They run a skeleton crew on the weekends and the first weekend my mother was there, a nurse came in to assist her and left her unattended for 45 minutes using the excuse she was helping to pass out trays! Another occasion my mother was needing her pain medication and pushed the call button and was still ignored for 4 hours! Not acceptable at all! The day shift nurses really tried their best to stay on top of their duties but the facility definitely needs more help. When they realized my mother didnt ask for much and wasnt a complainer, she was left alone in her room for hours. Only time someone came in was to serve her meals and occasionally take her vitals. If not for those few problems, the facility is very clean, staff is friendly and the rehab therapist are excellent! I was ways greeted at the front desk and the check in and out process was fast and easy.

I am a full time caregiver for my dad who has Vascular Dementia. Recently my dad stayed at Florida Presbyterian Homes for respite care so my husband & I could visit our grandsons in Boston for a long weekend. My dad was given the utmost care and kindness. He said he enjoyed his vacation at the new place since the people were so welcoming and he also said the food was really good !! Thank you for going above and beyond to make my dad so comfortable. We all hope he can stay again soon...

Presbyterian homes may be good for certain types of rehab but certainly not for cardiac rehab after open heart surgery. We chose Presbyterian home based on the high reviews but when we got there we were appalled at the lack of care. My mom had just come out of the hospital after 2 1/2 weeks from open heart surgery and bypass surgery. She had had some complications so we wanted to make sure she was in a place that would watch over her carefully. It was obvious from the start but that they had no idea how to look for signs of distress for cardiac patients. My mom was ignored by the nursing staff there and even the doctor was terrible. When I asked if she should go to the hospital his reply to me was that it was a family decision. Really?! Who is supposed to be the medical professional?! I could not believe his response! I will say that the Physical Therapy staff was great and they were pointing out the signs that she was having issues. After four days and obvious signs of acute congestive heart failure I demanded that they get an ambulance. The staff there made me feel like I was being irrational but of course they did is they were asked. The ambulance staff immediately said she was having acute congestive heart failure and the doctors at the ER were shocked that she was in the state she was in and was being ignored. She was in the hospital for another week! After that I had her move to a different rehab center, the Highlands, where the care there was so different and just fantastic .

Please read my complete review. Recently my Mom was a patient for rehab, she was there for 1 month. Everyone I met was very professional, understanding and took great care of my 90 year old mother. I want to give special thanks to a few people who spent a great deal of time helping her. First of all Ronda in admissions is a God send. She went above and beyond in helping me. Ms Ann the receptionist is a wonderful lady. The nursing staff is awesome, thank you Renee and Steven. The CNA’s were great, my thanks to Kendra,Tweet,Jeff and Ansel. The Physical and Occupational therapy staff are very good. My thanks to Brooke and the girl who’s name I can’t spell. The dining room and food was very good as I had eaten lunch with my mom many times. My thanks to Dee the hostess and my dear friend from NY Juan and all the food servers who work so hard. The Social worker Theresa is a NIGHTMARE!!! She is the most uncaring person I have ever met. She was no help of any sort to my family. I believe she is there for a paycheck and that is all. She never once stopped at my mom’s room to even say hello. She is the wrong person to be in that position. In such a great environment with wonderful people it’s sad to have a Social worker such as her. I can only hope there are enough complaints about her so she gets fired! Good luck to all that have to deal with her.
