We dine at Viggiano's at least once a month throughout the year. We appreciate that they stay open through the winter. The restaurant has great salads, delicious Italian wedding soups and offers an array of entrees in both small and large portion sizes. Buying a number of small sizes is a great way for a party to try various entrees without breaking the budget or having too many leftovers for carry out. This is not a high-end restaurant, but over the years we have found the kitchen and front of the house to be very consistent and reliable, making for many enjoyable dinners. This is a BYOB establishment so you can save significant dollars by bringing your own wine/libation. We highly recommend the side dishes such as the broccoli rabe and escarole - they are a consistent delicious add to all of our meals. We recommend you try Viggiano's.

We had high hopes after reading many good reviews. Unfortunately, we did not have a good experience. The host was very friendly and our waiter was WONDERFUL! He was kind, funny, and very knowledgeable. The food on the other hand was extremely disappointing.

The bread that came out was just a small loaf which looked like it was from a grocery store and had no butter or anything that came with it and it didn't have much taste at all. We had the green salad, which was very good, but pretty overpriced for a salad. The entrees were pretty terrible, to be honest. I had penne with shrimp and roasted peppers which had no presentation at all and tasted like pasta with oil that was heated up in a microwave. I had to dump a ton of parmesan cheese on it to give it the slightest flavor. Very bland. My husband had the cavatappi in pomodoro sauce and it was pretty bad. Again, not much flavor and what flavor there was was not good. The vegetables were not good at all in the dish and were tough to eat. This was very disappointing for a place with these prices. I'm not sure how it has so many good reviews. I hope they read these reviews and listen to customers to improve on their food.

Not one to leave a review good or bad but definitely wanted to give a heads up for people ordering takeout for a large group of people . Last night we ordered what was told to us enough to feed 20 people but I think they meant children. The food was very good but extremely sparse. We had to order a few pizzas after because we were so hungry. Price with tax $340

This may have possibly been the worst Italian restaurant I have ever been to. I ordered the Rigatoni Country-Style. Zero flavor and I had to douse it with crushed red pepper to save the dish. My girlfriend ordered the Rigatoni with Mussels, and I wish I was kidding when I say that the mussels smelt like urine. Even the bread for the table, no butter or oil or anything with it. Just a sad loaf of bread. The service was also bad, as there were only two waitresses in the entire restaurant. It took about 40 minutes just to order our food. I'm not sure if it was just a bad day, but the quality and environment was more like a pizzeria, not an Italian restaurant.

Downhill. I’ve been a regular at Viggiano’s on Sunset since it opened in 2019. Mostly consistent for all those years - we liked Viggiano’s so much that our Daughter had her wedding reception there, but the last few visits this year - 2024 - have been less than ideal. Long waits for food that’s over cooked and poorly presented. I hope things turnaround - now that the Conshohocken location has closed maybe the family can focus on Cape May. Our usual is calamari, salad, salmon, chicken parm or Lasagna. The last outing the lasagna was a mushy mess that I did not finish it was so bad.

Was looking for authentic Italian food and sad to say this place was not that. Almost all of our dishes were so dry that we went through three bottles of water just to get the food down. I had the Rigatoni Country Style, the pasta and chicken were so over cooked you could not swallow them without water. My wife ordered the Capellini Carbonara ( frozen peas ) and the pasta was so stuck together you could pick up the whole bowl with just one fork. Kids ordered the veal Mediterranean and Chicken piccata and both were ok. Service was nonexistent and the place was half full and so loud you couldn’t hear anything your table guests were saying. If this is what locals consider authentic Italian food, then they should really take a ride to NY were authentic Italian restaurants make their own pasta and use seasonings in all of their sauces. Would recommend the Olive Garden over this restaurant.

It felt like Sunday dinner at grandma's! Really good food, service, and atmosphere, with a fabulous family history. Make reservations, though. We had early reservations, 5:30, but it filled up fast and stayed busy.

Wow.....just wow. Even after reading some of the reviews , I still went in.
My wife walked in to ask if we needed reservations. The gentleman at the door (who looked at my wife like she was a dirt urchin) said no I have a high top for you. Then which is even funnier cause of a review I read...we got Brianna. What an upbit and positive person ( saying sarcasticly) . Her personality was a dull as a butter knife.
My wife ordered the gnocchi with baby meatballs and I ordered the spaghetti with oversized paper weight. The gnocchi was over cooked and mushy. Bland to the taste. My spaghetti...well I could of had better from a jar. And have.
Not 10 mins into eating this swill...we were asked if we wanted our food to go. They couldn't wait to get us out. Should have trusted the reviews. Lesson learned.
