I have thoroughly enjoyed my classes about entrepreneurship with UofH Texas Gulf. My first class was 'Doing business with HEB' and was absolutely phenomenal. Not only was knowledge shared from a good chain perspective, other entrepreneurs in the class shared valuable information, as well as networking. The next class I had taken was 'How to get your product on shelves", it too was a great experience. I highly recommend attending classes!

The SBDC is a wonderful free resource for anyone that already has a business or someone that is looking to start a business in Houston. I work with clients to help find them a franchise business and often times will direct them the SBDC to get help building a business plan for loan packaging for an SBA loan. They also have access to very robust market research that would normally cost thousands that they can offer for free for specific market data analysis. They also have ongoing educational webinars and in-person workshops. I've been a speaker there and have taught classes on different topics related to finding a franchise and the facility and staff is top notch. I definitely recommend the SBDC for all small businesses looking for supportive resouces.
