We stayed at this place during the winter for some skiing. The road to the place could be a little challenging, especially at night, but the place overall is fantastic! Our room was spacious and comfortable. We had all the necessities, and spent some quality time at Timber Ridge. It also has indoor spa and bathhouse, which are pretty clean. The best part, of course, is that you can ski right from the place to the Mammoth Mountain and back. This is very convenient and saves a lot of time! Even though the lodge is a little costly, it definitely worth every penny!

Amazing place to stay in Mammoth for a ski trip. Clean condos a nice indoor hot tub and sauna make it a great place to relax after a day on the slopes. Ski in and ski out access available. It is also very close to the Canyon Lodge if you prefer to drive.

Condo layouts are a bit weird-- a lot of stairs that lead to some rather unusual rooms. Parking is also pretty limited. Hot tub is pretty large too, and indoor.

Whole complex looks great outside, but its decidedly older roots show inside.

That said, ski-in ski-out is rare here and the price is right!

Pros:
1. Very nice and ultra large matress
2. Water runs nicely with roomy bathtub
3. Located on the relatively upper part of the mountain so very quiet and peaceful

Cons:
1. Garage doors are weirdly sized between the units where the consecutive unit is allocated with the garage door almost twice as big as its neighboring unit. We were unfortunate to have the unit with the tiny door so we barely fit out Expedition but I assume there is a high risk of damaging the car while parking if the driver is not very skilled (my mom used to be a commercial trucking driver and still barely managed so you get the idea. šŸ˜‚)

The management needs to explicitly display the size of the garage door on their ads because I felt like this information was intentionally hidden while keeping the payment non-refundable though I hope I was wrong. I even saw other visitor with a camping car having to park outside the garage because he didn't expect this.

2. The management is not present on the site while the site is lacking the instructions and guidelines severely. I didn't get the impression that the lady who spoke on the phone was friendly either when I called a couple times for questions.

You have to kind of "figure out" things your way at the risk of potential additional charge if failure occurs. šŸ˜‚ Especially as for the trash bin, it is the gigantic metal container style located near the entrance with the doors in the front which is supposedly the "additional parking" though there is no sign whatsoever, and you are supposed to take the trash out before leaving.

3. The Google map will guide you to take some private road that will block you somewhere very top whilst the most of the roads are missing clear road signs. Had to call the office for this and reroute back inconveniently and quite dangerously due to the road being very narrow. The management needs to provide more guidance with finding their location on their ads if they wish to avoid or minimize annoying calls. šŸ˜‚

4. It is a 2-story building with not much soundproofing, if at all. You will hear noises from the upstairs including the footsteps. Be prepared.

Overall, it wasn't too bad but I would check about the garage door size and the floor of the room we are allocated with if we were to stay here again.

Decent cabin with beautiful view, even though many things were old/broken (for example, they ran out of fans during summer, broken TV remote, etc.)

Also, there’s NO AC or private laundry/washer onsite. I think the description states this, but just want to be clear. The pool didn’t look much like the photos either.

Not so great customer service from one of the condo’s maintenance men. Our passcode didn’t work on our first night arriving in the cold, and the maintenance man seemed quite annoyed, even it wasn’t our fault that we were given the wrong passcode. I mean, I get it, he probably didn’t want to reprogram an apartment passcode at 11 pm, but we didn’t want to be waiting in the cold after a 12 hour drive either. We were friendly, he wasn’t. Fair enough—until the next incident

He (possibly another maintenance man, not sure if it’s the same one) also gave us attitude when we asked him to fix our broken TV remote (we couldn’t watch TV), then said we didn’t open the door when he knocked hard (untrue because we were having dinner in the living room and heard nothing.) When we called again and politely asked if he can fix it, he snarkily replied that we were probably out in the jacuzzi (umm what jacuzzi lol?) and couldn’t come until the next morning.
Quite a rude and unpleasant experience, and he acted as if we were such a hassle even though it’s their responsibility to ensure everything in the cabin works.

The gentleman (a different maintenance man) that DID come the next day to fix the remote, however, was absolutely lovely. Very respectful, friendly and professional—and our remote worked after he replaced it! I didn’t get his name but, thank you!!

The person from Great Escapes who we were liaising with was okay. She wasn’t overly friendly or helpful, and also implied it was our fault that we didn’t hear the maintenance man knock (or that he went to the wrong apartment.)

Probably wouldn’t stay here again due to the rude customer service, but still had a nice time

Ski-in Ski-out options are great for beginner to intermediate riders. Short hike takes you to 2 drop-in points. One to Canyon Lodge and one to Eagle Lodge.
