People were helpful. Once inside, the community was beautiful. Very large complex with numerous neighborhoods. The community offers numerous amenities. However, it just didn't give me a feeling of warmth. Beautiful community. I wouldn't feel safe leaving at night.

Lovely grounds and golf courses, but half a year after moving in all but one of the neighbors are still strangers. They were here all Summer, so it wasn't that they were gone. We are not intrusive, but it would be nice to at least know who neighbors are. Too many scowling faces, are people not happy here? Too much emphasis on daily "happy hour" so at least perhaps people are happy for one hour a day....havent seen much of this happiness though. Saw some residents in a heated argument after a golf cart wreck. Wouldn't want to drive one of these with people regularly doing 50-60 in a 35 mile zone.

I was there to take an informal tour of this retirement community. The grounds were spotless. There were lots of places to sit and relax. The bulletin boards listed a multitude of activities. There was a quaint little library which allows you to take as many books as you like for as long as you like. Looking from the outside the pool looked like a water park. I could see that alot of people invited their families, and both young and old were having a great time.
There is a Drama and Comedy Club and that day their production apparently was quite the hit. Applause could be heard throughout the area and the performers came out for pictures afterward. This is a place worth looking into

The new and improved grand cafe is garbage, $12 Margherita Pizza came out really cold with NO Tomatoes The cookie sheet it came on was also cold. $12 chicken ceaser salad was worse . Luckily we got our money back will not return !!!!!

Went to The Grand Cafe for the first time under the new management and ordered a tuna sandwich on sourdough break. The short answer is: I didn't like it... period!! Then I had a chocolate & vanilla swirl ice cream cone and that made up for the sandwich. I should have stuck only with dessert.

Love Sun City Grand so many amenities and indoor pool and running track inside. 2 Gyms and much much more 4 golf courses and baseball diamond.
