If I were able to rate this as -5 I would. If I’m wrong please correct me. But my experience had been horrible. The costs are astronomical and they are making a fortune. The phones never work properly and the sound quality is horrendous. The kiosk system has been down for days. Inmates are upset because they are unable to fill their weekly commissary. The best part is the NO REFUND POLICY.

Company is very difficult to deal with. Would not allow me to deposit with credit card and credit card info. They insisted on getting my social security number and drivers license number. This is a small private company and I do not know their cyber security protocols so I simply will not give out my confidential information to just anyone. When I asked to speak with the President and CEO, I was flatly refused. I am on a mission now to find out why my personal and private information is needed to make a credit card change.

Cancelled my appointment without letting me know. Had to wait the entire day for them to show for nothing. No call/email/text Called Samsung - apparently, the part needed to fix my refrigerator is on back-order. Impossible to get through to customer service or even leave a message (mail box full). Happy N Y!

I make the same charge online with my debit card every Wednesday. Every Wednesday they block the charge for "security reasons." They make me call my bank, go through a verification process, and resubmit the charge...every week. Last week they started shooting it down twice in a row even after its verified as a valid charge from Chase. Same thing just happened for the 2nd week in a row...shot down twice even after verification.
Apparently now I have to go through the verification process with Chase (weekly) two times to make the charge. This company is awful, fees are outrageous, and no company with the word "Tech" in the name should have tech this bad.

Good to see yet another company taking advantage of individuals stuck in our correctional facilities, 2022 charging folks 3.50 connection fees and then 50 cents per email. Yeah I’d say being the only option aka a monopoly on communications in our privatized for profit prison system should definitely help raise revenue yoy. What a sham and a travesty, what level of greed does it take to know you’re taking advantage of individuals with no other option, asking for a friend. I bet you go to church on sundays and I hope the eye of a needle camel story wasn’t just a parable but an actual fact of life. Boy that would be a big surprise to a bunch of folks. I think the best part is how you milk thousands who haven’t even been arraigned yet, bet that makes those revenue bells sing. What a joke of an industry, guess there’s always sharks preying on the wounded. I wouldn’t recommend this company for anything other than chapter 13 imho they shouldn’t be allowed to exist much less be a monopoly in communications of loved ones and their family members in their time of need. Disgusting.

Tech Friends is a legal way for the company to rip off people that can least afford it, and they do not refund money that is not theirs to keep. I have a relative that has been in different correctional facilities, and this has been the worst company to deal with regarding communications, etc. All jail facilities should avoid this company at all costs.

Someone else information is on my account!! The address, phone number, and the last 4 of their SSN! If it’s someone’s information on my account then my information is probably on someone else’s account! They need to fix this like now!!
