I recently downloaded the1 month trial version of WinWedge Standard data acquisition software to capture weight data from my crane scale. The staff could not have been more accommodating and got it up and running for me very quickly. I had a couple of requests for them to customize how the data was received and stored which they accomplished within an hour. I immediately purchased the software. They could not have been any easier to work with. Give them a try for your next project. You will not be disappointed.

As an R&D engineer in Medical Device industry, I have used Winwedge in a couple projects for data acquisition from measurement instruments. Until my latest project, in which I had to add some automation requirement to extract data from a continuous data acquired from a precision balance, I was amazed by the powerful capability of the software when combing with Excel VBA.

I started the project with minimal knowledge of Excel VBA and Winwedge. Fortunately, I had the pleasure of working with Thomas (Tom) Lutz from Taltech on the project. I encountered significant challenges in writing the necessary VBA code, but Tom’s expertise and support were instrumental in overcoming these obstacles. He not only provided clear and effective guidance but also delivered a fully functional Excel workbook that met all my project’s automation requirements perfectly. His technical skills were outstanding, and the solution he provided worked flawlessly.

Throughout our collaboration, Tom was patient, responsive, and thorough in his communication. Despite multiple email exchanges, he remained attentive and made sure I understood the solutions he proposed. His willingness to go the extra mile and deliver a complete, working solution saved me considerable time and effort. I greatly appreciate Tom's help and highly recommend him for his exceptional technical support and dedication.

Lastly, I highly recommend Winwedge for any applications that requires data acquisition which can allow further automation functions using Excel.

We purchased the standard WinWedge software so that we could scan bins into a Microsoft Access database as they went over the scale in our warehouse. Tom supplied the DDE code needed to make this happen and was incredibly helpful in making sure the project was completed. The software does as advertised, and the customer service provided to get us there was above and beyond.

The Winwedge software works great. We used it to tie scales into an excel spreadsheet to track our ingredients for our blend system.

It is a breath of fresh air to work with a company that values customer support so much. This software seems to be pretty advanced, and can do much more than the simple task we needed it to do. Tom with the software support team went out of his way to help us set it up and get it working smoothly. After a quick phonecall, he offered to look over the spreadsheet we were working on. Within a couple hours I got an email back with a woorkbook with all kinds of macros and other features to tie the scale in and make it user friendly. Thanks again Tom!

I needed to get a Denver Instruments Model 250 3-channel pH/Conductivity meter included as part of a computer controlled solution reservoir management system. I decided to use WinWedge Pro v4.0.8 to capture pH and Conductivity data. After confirming that the bi-directional RS232 system was working using Hyperterm. I next was able to use Winwedge to capture the two channels using its "Keystrokes to Notepad" ability. The need was to tackle the DDE to Excel feature but I quickly ran into difficulties because of the communication protocol used by Denver Instruments. Their RS232 documentation is sparse so the user is on their own. I contacted WinWedge Tech support via email and Mr. Tom Lutz responded back to help me sort out the problems. He provided a series of tests that helped him identify the communications protocol and after two days of back and forth attempts developed both the requisite .sw3 and Excel .xlsm files that worked to acquire the data from the meter. He was patient and though I anticipated him abandoning the project saw it through to completion. TAL clearly stood behind their product and helped a customer resolve their problem using their strong engineering acumen and understanding of the details associated with RS232 communication. I'm grateful to Mr. Lutz and very impressed with TAL and their Winwedge Pro software products & Tech support. Thank you very much Mr. Lutz for your help with this project.

Mr. Lutz helped me get Winwedge Pro working with a piece of monitoring equipment used as part of hydroponics system. The device is a Radio Shack 220-0087 USB DMM used to measure temperature continuously. It was a challenge because Radio Shack no longer supports the meter. From information i was able to locate online, Mr. Lutz used his creative investigative skills to identify its communication protocol to a PC via the meter's Prolific PL2303 virtual Com port driver. Mr. Lutz was able to get the meter's output interpreted with Winwedge Pro and transfer its output to Excel. This allows me to now use the meter's data to control the hydroponics fluids continuously via an Excel subroutine. The TAL tech support is the best I have experienced from any device or software vendor.
