This is favorite camera shop in all the world. It's a real gem of a store in the heart of downtown Anchorage. They are very well stocked with all the latest gear, and have a decent selection of used items as well. I rented a 600mm lens for a very affordable price. Chad helped me, not only with the rental, but also with tips about where to find wildlife about town. They are very friendly, very knowledgeable, and not too busy to chat. I highly recommend them.

very scammy, my camera was really good but they sold me a nikon n70 for $100, no box or manual or bag included, you can buy the same thing in original packaging for $50 or less. i then had to pay $30 for a case/bag for the camera and another $30 on film. they’re not helpful at all in this store and they’re only after your money here so you better know your stuff before coming. the rating would be a lot lower but the camera is actually good so you’re seeing a rating based on that.

Amazing customer service! I called Bill 20 minutes before they closed on a Saturday night, explaining I'd broken my camera while on a big wildlife safari across Alaska. Without batting an eye, he offered to take the camera home with him so a friend could pick it up and bring it down to me in Seward the next day as it was a Sunday before a holiday on Monday and there's no other way I'd have gotten it in time to take on the next leg of my adventure. So amazingly grateful, thanks again!!!

I wish I could rate Stewart's 10000 stars! My go to place for anything photography.

I recently picked up film photography and they have everything I need and the best film stock! It's also incredibly convenient that they have a local film lab that they collab with. Their customer service is impeccable and I'm pretty sure they know my face now?
They also have an online store that you can buy from I would recommend Stewart's to anyone 🙂

Stewart’s photo is a paradise for all videographers and photographers in Alaska. Are company have been a long time customer of theirs and without a doubt they are the best. They give impeccable hospitality and just an all around great atmosphere. They never hesitate to go the extra mile for their customers. This shop has everything you might need for your camera including lens caps, tripods, shutter buttons, lighting, lenses, cameras, gopros, straps, and much more. Located in a touristy area and parking can be tough at times. Large paid parking lot a block away. Friendly and helpful staff. Prices are reasonable
