We bought a 48V bank of HupSolarOne batteries based on Tom's recommendation. It was a very expensive purchase. The batteries were shipped as promised. We've had them up and running for over a month now and we are very happy with them. Nice people at Solar Biz. I liked the very detailed packing slip and invoice. I'd do business with them again.

My warehouse battery bank failed, I got excellent tech support from Tom and Patty. They helped me figure out what batteries I needed, got them delivered quickly, and then they helped me size my cable and gave me direction in installation. Great Service through and through

Purchased 18 of 54 panels in a group buy and am extremely pleased. Phone support is exceptional. Tom is incredibly knowledgeable and patient capable of explaining things on the needed level. He's clearly passionate about what he does. The Solar Biz is the first place I'm looking to fill an off-grid power need.

I was looking for a particular battery. I googled said battery and got a sponsored post from the solarbiz for a great price for free shipping and no tax. I got an order confirmation but after a few days no shipping confirmation. I emailed them to ask status and was called to learn that the battery I ordered was backordered until May. There was another similar battery that was available now however it was $30 more plus an additional $70 in shipping. I questioned the shipping as I already ordered the first battery with free shipping. Anyway an engineer was to call me back and talk to me about the new battery later in the day to see if it would work. That was Friday. I waited till Tuesday and called them back again. The customer service girl said that the new battery would indeed incur shipping charges but she would have the engineer call me. This time the engineer did call me and she was nice and all but she said the original battery would cost me shipping to. I said I already bought that and have a receipt for it. She said yes we made a mistake and would lose money selling you what we sold you. So no battery, wait till may and pay shipping. At that point I canceled the order. While even with shipping the price was decent I did not get the view that this place has their stuff together. Also this was a bait and switch which I can't incentive or support no matter the reason it occurred. Just a bad experience all the way around. Its a bummer cause I'd much rather support and independent rather than Amazon. So while the business seems on the up and up whether through ineptness or lack of morals I can't do business with them.
Please notice the CEOs response below. He did not even apologize for his "software error" or the fact that I had to call them to get it remedied. I think I understand the culture there well enough to say avoid. Mistakes happen but it's how you handle them that defines you and your organization.

We live off-grid and have been dealing with SolarBiz for several years now. We have always found them to be helpful, courteous, and knowledgeable without ever being pushy. Recently it was time to replace our batteries, they had served us well for 4 years but started failing. I searched the web for batteries and prices but no one had a better deal, delivered, than SolarBiz. The batteries arrived promptly but one had been damaged somewhere in shipping. Sara Olmsted went above and beyond in getting it replaced within 2 days, as we had company coming and no power.
Thank you Sara, your professionalism and cheerful effort never fails. It has been a real pleasure dealing with your company because of people like you.

I had an excellent experience buying deep cycle batteries from Solar Biz in 2015. The service was outstanding and the tech support equally good. When I needed more batteries this year I naturally tried Solar Biz first. They did not disappoint!

Sales service was excellent, Tech Support spent over an hour with me going over issues and patiently helping with battery selection, and the pricing was the best out there. Shipping to my door was a breeze and very inexpensive.

Try them, you will not be disappointed.

I was a pain in the butt, I didnt know what I was ordering and did everything wrong every step of the way during my multiple orders. They took me by the hand, educated me about what I really need for my solar project, refunded some transactions, credited others and saved me money while moping up my careless internet purchasing mess.
