We came up after purchasing land in Anchor Point and needed a place to stay. The owner is extremely kind and really takes care of you. The cabins are comfortable and welcoming. We will definitely be staying here as we check on our progress of building our forever home. Also check the coffee shop down the street, they’re amazing!

Theresa (the owner) was very accommodating and friendly and went out of her way to make sure everything was perfect (which it was). We stayed in Cabin #2 with the loft and where lucky to experience her new kitchen upgrade which included a very nice solid surface counter top with modern sink and an induction (electric) cooking device with all the utensils and pots/pans for cooking breakfast / dinner. (as well as a gas grill outside). This was very convenient for us as we cooked a lot during our 11 days. The heater was very efficient (we stayed into late September where it was getting down to 38-40 F at night). Theresa was always available and her daily service was efficient. The table in our cabin was a work of art, a large piece (for two people) carved out of a single log as the top with all the beautiful natural curves and knots on the side. We did get to see mamma Moose and her two babies most evenings which seemed to occur around 7:00pm. Luckily we saw no Bears, sleeping or awake. We will stay here again next year as it is great value for the dollar and Theresa takes good care of her clients!||Gary and Pat (Austin, TX)

We stayed in loft cabin that was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Very roomy, clean bathroom, satellite tv, great sunset view. There is private barbecue for each cabin.||The bed was comfortable, first class linens and towels. The cabins are of highway no noise, great sleep.||Teresa the host was very friendly and helpful. We would like to visit again. definitely we will stay at this lovely place next time when in Alaska.||The price is perfect.

We loved our stay at Sleepy Bear Cabins. It was comfortable. There was plenty of space for 2 adults and 2 kids in cabin 4. The room was very neat and clean. It was very peaceful and quiet. The hosts were great! They answered any questions and helped with anything we needed. From talking with the owner, they are constantly making improvements to make it even better.

Teresa is a wonderful host. The cabins are charming, cosy and immaculate, equipped with all we needed. Good bathroom with plenty of thick towels etc. The beds are the most comfortable ever. I mentioned when booking that our granddaughter was celebrating her 13th birthday on the day we arrived and she was greeted with balloons and candy. Such attention to detail is evident throughout. Highly recommended.

I stay in Anchor Point quite often. I love the Anchor River recreation area. Homer can be so busy in the summer, but this quaint hamlet has just as much fun and character!!!! Great fishing, great coffee (Lazy Latte has Kaladi Bros coffee and the BEST cinnamon rolls!), great mexican (Ramiro's and Blue Bus diner) great thrift store (Heart n Hands)...I could go on and on!! Homer is great but you are missing out on a sleepy little community that can compete well, but shhhhh don't tell anyone! The Sleepy Bear Cabins are SOOOOO reasonable, so accomodating and clean. In room fridge, microwave, table, free wifi. I had everything and more and the owner was so incredibly NICE!! Have laundry? It is only 5 minutes away at the Cheeky Moose. Cheeky Moose has laundry, wifi, showers and great soup/cafe!!! You can not GO wrong staying here if you are tripping to go to Homer. The bed at Sleepy Bear Cabins was soooo comfortable. I just can't say enough about this area and the Sleepy Bear Cabins...but shhhhh don't tell anyone!!!! In my review I will say the WIFI was perfect I had NO trouble at all. This is Alaska and it is not the same as the lower 48.....

Our cabin was very neat and clean. The bedding was warm and cozy. The bathroom was spotless. Parking was just outside our door. Very quiet, had a great night's sleep. Off the main road, but, our GPS led us right to it. Glad we stayed here instead of Homer. Would not hesitate to stay here again!

We have stayed there twice and will keep going back. The Prices are perfect. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The last cabin on the left could use some new mattresses downstairs but the cabins are always clean. It is slightly off the highway, so it is quiet. We will keep going back whenever we go to Homer.
