Captain Brad was amazing. He did an amazing job and we got to see bears, otters, seals and of course whales! Loved having a small boat so you weren’t fighting others to see. Cannot recommend him enough!

We loved this tour! Brad the owner/captain was friendly and took us to see lots of different wildlife including sea otters, sea lions, salmon, brown bears, eagles, seabirds, and humpback whales. Highly recommend this tour!

We had a fantastic experience with Brad!

Like most people, we arrived in Sitka on a cruise ship. We had booked a tour through the cruise but due to high seas, it was cancelled. We were first time cruisers and this was our first time in Alaska so even though we have traveled a lot, this was a new experience for us. Wanting to do something while our ship was docked, we wandered to the waterfront and found Brad advertising a boat tour. After chatting with him for a bit, we chose to go on a boat tour with him. He had to modify the tour because of the high seas but it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip ! We saw bears, migrating salmon, scenery and waterfalls! It was truly amazing !

The one thing I want to highlight here is the following... don't be scared into thinking you have to book your tours through your cruise line !! The cruise will tell you that if you book a tour through them, the ship will wait for you if your tour is delayed in getting back. Remember though that independent tour operators like Brad rely on good reviews and always know that they have to get you back to your cruise on time ! If they didn't, they wouldn't be in business ! And another thing is that the cruise lines charge a premium price for their tours and you don't always get a premium experience !

So bottom line if you're on a cruise... book tours privately to save yourself some money and to get a more personal experience with smaller tour operators !

Sitka Nautical Tours with Captain Brad was the best experience we had on our 10-year anniversary! We saw bears, humpback whales (up close!), sea otters, sea lions, seals, and so much more. And Brad's stories about Sitka were fun.

10 out of 10, would recommend!

We loved our excursion with Captain Brad! His boat was perfect for the small-group experience we wanted and he got us to the most beautiful views. We saw all kinds of animals and enjoyed every minute chatting with Brad. He’s knowledgeable and so so kind. I have nothing but great things to say!

Brad was an awesome guide and captain! As a retired policie officer and Sitka community member, he had great history of the area and knew all the ins and outs of nature in the area.

We had over 2 1/2 hours on the water, and rarely saw another tour boat, because Brad knew the places to go find the whales and the wildlife, without following all the other boats. The smaller boat and personal contact felt like a private tour.

Great recommendations for dinner and time in Sitka.

We had a great time. Brad found us all the critters we were looking for. it's so nice with just six passengers on the boat. you can actually ask questions any time. He has good history of the area and gets you up and close to the different animals. If ever in Sitka again we will be hooking up with Sitka Nautical Tours.

Brad will make the best effort for you to see what you're interested in, even though we weren't lucky enough to catch any whales, we got to see otters, sea lions and bold eagles! My parents were amazed by the scenery he took us to see, he is very kind and made sure we were comfortable. My dad has some health issues and he made sure all the time he was comfortable and made this experience amazing for him. Thank you Brad we really enjoyed the time with you.
