Staff was super friendly, knowledgeable and had a great time. We got to see the Manhatten costline, 3 humpback whales, and then on the return trip got a nice view of Sandy Hook on our. I was truly awesome! I plan on doing this again in the future.

We were very lucky on our day out and saw several whales as well as numerous dolphins - tremendous! Who would have expected to be able to do this in New York City? Weather was beautiful and the ride was great fun. Not as crowded as I expected either - the boat is pretty large. The staff was knowledgeable and accomodating. The captain even came back in to get us (we were late coming in from Jersey and ran up to the pier just as they'd let go of the ropes)! Thank you!!!

On Sunday September 18 th my brother sister in law and close friend all set sale for a wonderful day of whale watching and site seeing Sandy Hook and it’s many historical buildings and light house. Once we rounded the hook whales were spotted almost immediately. Throughout the next 2 1/2 hours we had whale sightings and were treated to a number of different behaviors. Captain knew how to keep the boat turned into the whale activities of the humpbacks. Best was the lunge feeding and the whales waving their dorsal fins at us. That got the whole boat oohing and ahhhhing!
Our naturalist who narrated our trip was amazing. It was a blending of historical narrative, food cycles of whales and descriptions of the whale behaviors as we saw them. I believe the naturalist name was Cheryl.

The boat was beautiful, and the weather was perfect. I wish they had told us that the 5 hour tour would include a 45 min detour at both ends to pick up and drop off in Staten Island. Also, the tour commentary would have been shorter by half if the guide had spoken about the history associated with the lighthouses, instead of telling us about his favorite restaurants, commenting on "beautiful, exclusive" golf courses, and indulging in reminisces of his Brooklyn boyhood.

Wonderful time! We saw 6 whales, breaching and feeding.

The top deck it was very hard to hear the information being said over the speaker.
The bench chair row was broken, so seating was no comfortable in one row

We had a great time whale watching- couldn’t believe we saw two pods of dolphins and a humpback whale so close to the New Jersey shore. Naturalists helped us learn more about what we were seeing, bathrooms were very clean and I heard the bagels on board were exceptional too! We also got close to some famous NYC landmarks

Can’t wait to do this again when my parents come to town!

Fantastic family fun! We’ve done this trip a couple of times and each time we’ve seen dolphins and breaching whales! They have a marine biologist aboard speaking about the marine life we came across. Doesn’t hurt that there is a bar on the boat 👍🏼
