This store in particular has an amazing running community. Check out their Saturday morning runs at 8am. If you haven't tried mountain running, you should. I'm someone who liked skiing a lot growing up. I like Tahoe but it's a lot of work going back and forth. But being able to run in Marin, see the views, when it's warm, and then just go home, shower, and take a nap. It's a gem, amazing, and free. It's such a privilege if you live close enough take advantage of it. If you're interested, go to SFRC and get some trail shoes.

I received an invitation through Strava for a local run in Mill valley and decided to go and check it out. everyone in the store was nice and helpful plus the running group was amazing. I would recommend visiting the store and participating in their events. thank you SFRC

This is a very special place - it is a specialty running store run by runners - people who run. They know runners and they understand the needs to runners. They stock a nice mix of gear that is well suited to the unique running of Northern California (think cool temps in the summer and steep mountain running). I joined some runners for the Mill Valley store's weekly Saturday run in the Marin Headlands. I met like-minded runners and was greeted by the staff and found that their promise (obtained from me a week before by phone) that there would be runners at all paces was absolutely true. If I lived in the area, this would be my running store for sure.

As a woman runner, it's refreshing to walk into a running store and see women behind the desk who are knowledgable about products and gear, and educated on each brand's value system. McKay does an exceptional job managing this store and is a hub of knowledge regarding women-led running groups and events. Love this store and the impact the staff are making on the running community!
