I unwisely started my solar project with another company because we had a friend who worked there. They quickly installed the panels on my roof, but the city inspection got canceled.
We waited and waited, and nothing happened. The company said they were waiting for our battery to arrive. Weeks turned into months, until finally it was impossible to even make contact with the company.
So, now it was over a year since we started, and our license had expired. Speaking of unwise, I paid for the whole system up front.
I finally decided to get another company to finish the job. After all, the dead panels weren't doing me any good just sitting on the roof. My son said he had a really good experience with the folks that installed his system, so I called them - Rocky Mountain Renewable Energy.
They returned my call the same day, came the next day to evaluate what had already been started, and sent their crew to start working the third day.
Exactly one week from my first phone call, I had power from my panels running my house and charging my new batteries that were supposedly so hard to get.
I'm thrilled that it happened so quickly. I just wish I had called Rocky Mountain Renewable Energy first, a year ago. Don't make my mistake!

Great product and service. We decided on solar in late April and were online by end of July. Sales, tech and electricians worked together to make it all work. Had an issue with my inverter and was having trouble with getting anyone from a solar company helping me since my installing company went out of business years ago. Rocky Mountain was quick to respond and super helpful. They helped me diagnose and come up with a fast plan how to get my system up and running. Rocky Mountain Renewable Energy started our installation in December 2018 so we could receive a tax credit for 2018 taxes. They did this for others at the end of the year. The installers and Management were easy to work with throughout the installation. Since we had to go through the night without power they supplied a generator when Rocky Mountain Power could not get the power lines ran . Rocky Mountain Renewable Energy offered to pay for any food loss because of the power outage. Finding out Rocky Mountain Power could not pull the wires to the house, Rocky Mountain Renewable Energy worked until 9:00 pm in 10 degree weather to change the wiring to be adapted to the generator. The over night power loss was not due to Rocky Mountain Renewable Energy. They adjusted the panels on the roof, to line up lines of the panels until we were happy with the appearance.

Throughout the install, the installers offered to help with things that were not directly related to the install such as shoveling snow from driveway and sidewalks. Management offered to paint the wall where a new thermostat was installed since the base plate was 1/2 inch smaller in length compared to the old thermostat. They helped us install all new LED lights in the house.

My billing cycle ran from the 19th to the 22nd of the next month. In the first month with over half snow/rain days we produced enough energy to break even on power used and generated.
