Worked for 5 months. Then my tenant made a payment on 7/29. He reached out yesterday (8/3) saying the payment couldn't be processed. So I checked my app and none of my information is saved. My linked bank isn't there anymore so I can't receive payments. Once I reconnected my account it asked me to pick a plan. There is a plan for free, up to $1000 a month in rent, one for $9.99 a month and I think 2 others. I never received any notification that I was going to have to pick a plan. The reason I picked rent drop was because it was free. I even had a detailed email conversation with an employee asking how this service could be free and if it was legit and they assured me it was. Now it looks like I have to pick a plan to proceed and be able to collect my rent. I've reached out to customer service and am awaiting a response. As of now I've asked my tenant to be sure to stop his payment in case it does go through and we are looking for alternative options without fees. I'm deeply disappointed in rentdrop as this seemed like a good business model but with no notification of changes I feel as if I've been duped and now I have to wait to collect rent.

Used Rentdrop for 3 months, against my better judgement, but after reading about it in Fortune and Bigger Pockets and various landlord sites. This month, tenant paid rent using Rentdrop (they definitely paid - the money is out of their account!); I received the Rentdrop email stating the tenant had made a payment; then NEVER received the payment. It's gone. And now suddenly the tenant cannot access Rentdrop and neither can I. Multiple attempts made to contact customer service. Zero response. Zero communication. Where is that rent money, Rentdrop? I would not recommend this platform for landlords or tenants!!!

Do not use Rentdrop because if you have issues they will not reply or respond to any emails that they have for customer service nor do they have any phone numbers . Completely useless. I used them 2 month then the system crashed n all my information disappeared, I don’t even have a way of deleting my bank account. Again do no Use Rentdrop!!!!!

Rentdrop is not a good app at all! Sign in, then after awhile the app locks me out, cant even reach for any customer service, any virtual support says ot takes hours to respond but never even received any response back. Waste of time

DO NOT USE RENT DROP!
Researched, good reviews, signed up. Then renter nor I could access Rent Drop. Ghosted. Downloaded app again. They want all my info again, including bank account info. Where's my info they got before? Do not trust them now.

This service worked for us for a few months. Our last payment was processed through rentdrop and we have yet to receive it in our account. Customer service has been completely non responsive.

$1000 was taken from our tenant and 2 weeks later we still have not received his funds and have had NO response from Rent drop. DONOT use this app.

I love this app! So much easier than having to collect all my roommates rent on Venmo.
