To evaluate the thermal performance of an ablative material, we exposed several small test panels to rocket engine exhaust flow. This resulted in the deformation of the panel surfaces, and we needed surface mapping data to generate the deformation profiles and quantify the material performance.
We were unfamiliar about the specifics of optical 3D scanning and photogrammetry, so when we approached ReLogic, the first thing they did was invite us to see their lab and present their equipment, techniques, and processes. They took the time to answer all our questions, and it was immediately apparent they were knowledgeable about our application, which facilitated and sped up initial interactions to define the scope of work and deliverables. They even did a free, end-to-end analysis on one of our samples to ensure the data generated would work for us.
They offered us a very reasonable quote, which, combined with their technical expertise and genuine care about our needs and expectations, made it clear they were the right choice for this job.
One aspect we really appreciated is that our direct point of contact at ReLogic was the engineer performing the work, and not an intermediary customer account manager. This means highly-technical emails or phone calls were accurately and quickly answered, usually within the day.
Ultimately, the data they provided was of high quality and exactly what we needed. They even included reports that contained statistics and pictures of the various measurements taken for each panel, which was really helpful to communicate the analysis and results to other stakeholders.
