"Houses are designed the way they are because it's what people can afford." If you want a cookie cutter home based on what Oak River thinks you can afford, this is the perfect place for you. Very friendly and respectful-despite the obvious profiling. Not very enthusiastic about architecture, however. Nor are they up to date on new innovative ideas or concepts. They can definitely design a home for you-it just might not be your forever home.

Edit: I'm not a troll. I came by your office one day to discuss drawing up blueprints for my home. I asked some simple questions about Mid-Century Modern Architecture, current standards on structural engineering, the viability of using Geo-thermal for heating and cooling, etc and all of my questions were brushed off as if I didn't know anything about Architecture. So, I asked what they would recommend and was provided the quote above, which I recorded in text message while I was relaying the questions from my wife. At the time, I had to stand in the doorway as it appears your AC was broke and you had a giant fan blowing air into the office. Any of this sound familiar now? And yes, I gave someone there my contact information, but never received a call. You're not helping your situation by posting snide remarks.
