A scam!!! Unprofessional! Will try to stick you with a bill after you cancel even if you are not in an annual contract and give them a 30 day notice. Rude customer service. Zero continuity in communication. You need a lawyer to deal with these people. They are awful! We moved over to Mangomint a month ago and were told we could keep our Meevo until we finish moving over our memberships. Now all of a sudden they are still trying to charge us in April saying we did not give them a 30 day notice when the notice was given in February. It’s impossible to speak to someone in higher management, they literally gatekeep you from speaking to anyone. Let’s not even begin talking about how much their software sucks. You literally have to take a class to understand their reporting. Stay AWAY!

In my opinion, this software should not sell itself to any small operation that doesn’t have full time reception. I’ve used clinic sense, square/acuity, mind body, and massage book throughout my career and was looking for something a little better that could do all the things in one place.
I run a very small business with three employees (including me) and I do not hire reception since we don’t really need it most of the time and it takes away from the therapists pay. I was hoping Meevo would fit the bill. Meevo was sold to me as a dynamic software that would essentially run my business for me (with obvious limitations). However the time investment and data entry required just to create an event or a new service is way too much for someone who already works 6 days a week. Anything you want to do with it requires layers of data entry. I even had to manually import my client data from my previous software because the system failed to recognize double clients and did not capture phone numbers from my previous software. Also their payment platform - Meevo pay - charges more than square, but takes way longer to transfer the money to your account, and there is no instant transfer option. They also have monthly minimums for card processing, and if you don’t hit that minimum you pay them additional fees on top of the usual percentages. So every client who pays cash to me is actually keeping me from hitting that minimum.
When I have an issue, Their help forum consists of a bunch of articles and videos that address a multitude of topics, and are not well-organized. If I search something, I get 100 options, none of which ever seem to have exactly what I’m searching without having to comb through a bunch of extraneous information. The recorded webinars are mostly close to an hour long, and often begin with up to 10 minutes of introduction with no way to skip forward by topic so you just have to watch the whole thing, even if you only need one specific bit of info from it.
When I first signed up for Meevo they made it sound like everything was included, but most things beyond basic booking are offered through third party “integrations” that you pay extra for. I am paying an extra $29/month for “docs and forms” and I have to build all my forms from scratch with their very clunky drag and drop, or hire someone who knows coding to create one for me. Even when I did finally employ someone to help, they said it was a terrible format and not user friendly at all. It’s also very hard to use on a phone. If you don’t have tablets for your clients to fill it out, it is painful to do on a phone. Like having to zoom in on a word doc. As a business based in spas, which all require tons of forms, I’d think you’d be offering more options here. This service is definitely not worth its cost and I’m canceling it and going back to paper until I find something better.

I like that Meevo does keep up with SEO management and collecting google reviews, and my clients love the notifications and mostly love the booking interface as well. I’m sure the software is great if you have someone sitting at a desk all day, able to watch training videos, and do data entry for you. I think Meevo should consider a “light” version for sole proprietors and small businesses, and make it a little more streamlined, affordable, and easy to use.

Not impressed! Not user friendly. Too many extra steps to book appointments and change or edit anything. Calendar is not easy view. Too busy looking. Make it more simple. Salon switched from Vagaro. Vagaro was so much easier and mainstream. Could do everything from calendar when booking. Now I have to go back and forth and click too many things. Horrible. You need to take cues from other booking apps and simplify.

I absolutely love using Meevo. I switch just a little over a year ago, and I'm still learning all the things that this system had to offer. I am a one chair suite owner, and I was worried that it wouldn't do what I needed or wanted, and it wouldn't be cost effective for just one chair. I was blown away at the value and customer service! They make you sign a contract before you can even use the software or train, once I did this nothing they told me was true. I couldn’t get ahold of anybody in customer service for 3 days, my “point of contact” was not available either. I couldn’t move forward onboarding without support, my client contacts upload was cancelled for no reason. This made my launch date and time lines completely unachievable, pushed back a website launch and cost me money and time. When I finally got a hold of somebody I requested to cancel because this product was misrepresented to me, I was told that I could not cancel there was no grace period and that I owed a years worth of subscription dues. Of course I refused this, demanded that my contract was cancelled, we didn’t even get onboarded let alone use the software! I was sent cancellation form after I made this clear with the assumption they agreed. I filled it out, cancelled and 30 days later was billed and told that I had a year of payments. Do not go into business with these people, every feature you need is an extra cost, there are better softwares out there that have great support and cost less.

Switched to Meevo from an other popular software and the difference is incredible. We are paying less for our monthly subscription with more features and benefits and everything always works. We have had zero issues with the functionality of meevo and zero issues with reaching support. I wish we hadn’t been stuck in our last contract for so long. 10/10 recommend.
