If you are a commercial investor and looking to develop in the City of Lynnwood think twice. They do not have integrity let alone care about the city's infrastructure. They are currently involved in a cover up. During the 196th road project they allowed several storm drains and pipes that were damaged during the excavation to go unfixed due to time and money. Now the property owners are left holding the bag. We received the information from an Inspector including dates and times yet the city will not release the info. Now the City Of Lynnwood has instructed the Inspectors to not speak with us. They know it is on them to fix and are covering it up.

We invested several million dollars in our project and pay more than our fair share of taxes and yet THE CITY OF LYNNWOOD only cares about their bottom line. Also the transients are running ramped and they don't care about that either.

DO NOT INVEST YOUR MONEY IN THE City of Lynnwood!

I've had to get a few different permits through the city over the past couple of years. In each instance, they were highly responsive and helpful in making things work based on what was possible for our home. Will change if that changes, but Shawna and others at the office have been great!

I applied the permit last week, Chelsey Fairris and Zach spencer are very friendly and helpful , Zack provide useful information and Chelsey very efficiently set up online permit for us. I really appreciate that they are there to help people has difficulty get online service, specially understaff this time.

This place is horrible in customer service and integrity. I submitted a plan and application and waited over 4 weeks. No response. Called them and they said they would get done and call me in the next week. Another week passed and no update. Called them back and they said nothing has been done and asked for another few days. It's now the 6th week and still nothing. They told me when I submitted the plan that it would take them 2-4 weeks. However, if I pay them to do expedited review, it would take them less time. So is it because I didn't pay the extra bucks that it's taking 6 weeks?

Bought a house in lynnwood, got permits for work that needed permits, then get a stop work order slapped on my house when they inspect the work that had permits and decide without even going in my house that the cosmetic work im doing myself inside the house needed a permit too. After reading the code they think im violating, yep... everything i had done thus far is listed as exempt from said code... and now the permitted, scheduled and already paid for work is in jeopardy because they shut down any work on the property.. remind me why i got permits in the first place? Cause it sure doesn't seem to be beneficial to do so if all it amounts to is overzealous inspectors showing up and blindly messing up peoples plans and finances....

So yeah, Thanks for the warm welcome to the city guys....

I had to run and get a permit for my place of employment. All I had was a piece of paper and the company card. When I got there they walked me through the process of getting the permit that we needed. There was some information left out of the form and they were very understanding as I had to call my boss to get the rest of the information. The staff are very professional and courteous.
