NBAIR is one of the national bureau among 6 bureau. This ICAR- NBAIR is meant for research purposes. People from within and outside can come here and utilise the lab for research. This institute also having quarantine centre, National insect museum, Guest house and centre for bioinformatics.

Here Agriculture PG and PhD students can take up their research works.

This institute is responsible for the importing of natural host specific predator from respective countries. Still far, they imported around 10 predators from USA, Australia etc.

Here one can get natural predators for coconut hairy caterpillar, mealy bugs, and Trichogramma chilonis and can get by taking permission from director.
