Great place for lunch. Plenty of outdoor seating so you can see the bay. Service was amazing. Multiple servers, hosts and the manager was clearly visible at all times. Food was excellent. Order the lobster roll. It will be the only thing I eat here. Two bars have lots of beers on tap and very cool signature cocktails. Highly recommend the “Pain Killer.” It was too good to have alcohol in it, so watch out! Grouper sandwich was good. They have vegetarian options. Great view, amazing food. Highly recommend. Will be back every time we are in Cape May.

We went on a Saturday night in early June and man was it packed. We had a slightly over an hour wait. With no reservations, we were expecting the wait.
We grabbed drinks at the bar, and found a space at the railing facing the beach. While we were enjoying the wait there, a servers told us that it was a service area and we should be over in some other area to wait. This was 45 minutes into our wait. If it has taken 45 minutes for someone to come take our drink order...👎 If you get drinks at the bar, you should be able hang in the bar unbothered.

When we got our table, it was in a fully enclosed room that was too loud for our taste.

The drinks and the food were good. I had the coconut shrimp with a fun sauce. My friends enjoyed a salad, sandwich and lobster roll.

The sunset across the street is perfect. The walkway with the older wood railings was quite lovely.

We went on a Monday afternoon, shortly after opening, and it was already crowded. Dining is mostly outside, though under a tented area. Parking is mostly on the street within a block or two. The temperature was over 90 degrees, making dining a bit uncomfortable. Our server was friendly. Our food was good and came in a timely manner.

Can't say enough good about this restaurant! The food was the best I've ever had, and our waitress Catherine was absolutely the best! She was so friendly and was a very good server. She went out of her way for us. So very, very friendly! The best!! Thank you Catherine!!!

This is more of an atmospheric setting . With bar food and just ok taste . They were out of several items and I get that it was a very busy weekend and we went on a Monday night, but knowing it was a holiday week should have preordered extra items. Caesar salad looked good but no flavor whatsoever. All I could taste was Romain . Crab dip was so fishy tasting and only ate what I ate because I was starving. Pretzel was good, along with the cheese dip . Was told the coconut shrimp were very good, hard to ruin premade frozen food.
Would I go again, yes, for beer and a sunset . I also had the roast pork sandwich, with extra provolone, that was pretty good , bun perfectly toasted . Right amount of spinach to roasted red peppers . Ajou. Was a bit bland, but really no need for it .

Beautiful ocean view and super yummy food. Had the tuna poke appetizer (fantastic), Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich (my teenager loved it), and the Lobster roll (tasty). The lobster roll was chopped lobster and not huge chunks, but it had great flavor and the portion was incredibly huge. Very filling. The Cape May oysters are AMAZING, and so is the house sauce they make for it! Do that for sure when you come!

I look forward to coming back here again!

Harpoons on the Bay has enlarged the outdoor dining area, additional bar and built an very clean outdoor restroom building. There is a parking lot in the back and street parking. We enjoyed an early mid-week dinner and were not disappointed! The seating was about 50% full at 4:00 on a Wednesday. The food was very good which included the Roasted crab dip starter and the 10 oz. Ground beef cheese burger with fries. Everything was delicious, hot and fresh. Our server, Larissa, was awesome and provided outstanding service! I love visiting Harpoons when I’m in town. I would highly recommend this establishment.

The food was alright. Not amazing but a nice family place. It is cool that you can get a view of the ocean. The wait was very long, but there were picnic tables to sit at and wait. The decor was something I’ve never seen before. It is very unique. It is a place I would go to again, but not every year.
