It's a nice historical place that is nowadays a store where you can buy souvenirs. But first of all, the back deck has a gorgeous view of the Grand Canyon you won't want to miss!

Also, there's a trail right next to the studio where will connect you to Bright Angel Trailhead that is leading you to the bottom of the canyon and down to Colorado River.

I have visited the Grand Canyon many times over the year. There are a number of fine establishments in the Grand Canyon.
I must say the Kolb house tops the list for a litany of reasons. 1. Stunning views of the Canyon. Rich historical history well presented. Best value for souvenirs. Maybe most important, a good percentage of their proceeds help fund the Grand Canyon maintenance. Trails, historic buildings and the stewardship of the Canyon.
We hope you support them, not just for you but for the generations to come, and be in awe of this magnificent wonder.

I am not sure what the studio is meant for, but our tour guide asked us to enter this place to purchase souvenirs and snacks and told us that there were amazing views from the back of this place. Indeed, this was one of the most stunning closeups of the Grand Canyon. Also, there was access to the trail along the rim of the canyon that leads to a man-made arched entrance. The views were stunning. Make sure to walk along the face of the cliffs and not on the cliff side when the mules arrive from the opposite side. The gift center is simply amazing. The place is not accessible for wheelchair beyond a point.

We viewed from the South Rim and used the patk kennel to board our dog in order to take the shuttle bus to Hermits Rest. Drove out of the East entrance gate. Great views here as well. Currently showing the paintings at Kolb house.

Kole Brothers studio and gift store is located at about he edge of Grand Canyon Village. There are picture windows overlooking the Canyon.
There is a gift store with beautiful photographs and other items for sale as you enter the building. Downstairs there are several paintings. Several cameras and other paraphernalia used by Kolb brothers are also there.
If you are visiting the Grand Canyon Village, it is worth stopping by to checking out this place.
