Our stay was fantastic! First off, to everyone complaining about the road: it’s clearly stated beforehand, and honestly, it was way better than expected. We drove in with a SUV (Chevy Suburban) and had zero issues. Compared to roads in some national parks or the Monument Valley drive, this one was a breeze. Totally manageable!

Now, about the stay itself – it’s wonderfully remote, which was perfect for unwinding after the hustle of a road trip. The casita has everything you need, and both electricity and water worked flawlessly. There are even a few complimentary drinks in the commons area, which was a nice touch. All in all, highly recommend this spot, especially if you’re headed back to Phoenix after visiting the Grand Canyon!

This place is STUNNING, the houses are the artwork of a designer, it is so quiet and peaceful you’ll feel in Africa either taking your coffee in the morning or stargazing at night. Mary the owner helped surprise my boyfriend and left a wine bottle and flowers on the coffee table, I can’t thank her enough.

That said, accessibility is very challenging. You’ll need a 4 wheel drive truck to get to the place from the main highway. If you’re up for the challenge, the place is worth it.

The place is quaint and the venue very quiet, even remote. Rooms were neat and comfortable. But—and this is a big but—don't even consider this place if you don't have an AWD SUV. The access roads to the hotel are extremely difficult to traverse. Our sedan car almost got stuck getting out the next morning. It literally took us close to 30 mins. to go 3 miles from the highway to our accommodations. Honestly, I just don't think it's worth the trouble. There are better places to stay in the area.

I cannot recommend this place enough! Absolutely beautiful and perfect size for 2 people. We changed our rental car from sedan to an suv and it worked out great. If you’re looking for a place a little off the grid this would be it!

Only after booking, the accommodation informs you that you need a 4x4 to access the road as the road is "bobbly". This is not just bobbly. It took us 45 mins with our Sedan each time for 3 miles. I can't imagine this when it would rain. In case you want to cancel the reservation they offer that you can book the nights at another date. Not really practical if you fly back 3 days later. I felt tricked due to this malpractice.

I loved everything about it. The property was beautiful, the stars were insane, the cabin was clean and comfortable, the bed was soft, the maintenance man/housekeeper Wesley was so kind and helpful, and the vibe was great! It’s off the grid so you have to take electricity usage and water into account but that’s part of the experience! I loved it and can’t wait to go back!

Where to begin…I’ll start with the property since it is what brought us here in the first place. Our purpose was our biennial family vacation where my husband and I get to spend a week with our 3 children and their spouses. This property was everything that I was looking for and more! Through Mary, I was able to book the entire property consisting of the four Casitas and the commons house. Each couple had their own Casita for sleeping and winding down and just having a quiet space to call their own, while the commons had plenty of room for us to all gather to cookout, listen to music and have bonfires at night. Each casita has everything you need to be comfortable and cozy while being off grid. The sunrise and sunsets each day were breathtaking and the star filled sky didn’t even seem real. This property is amazing!! You will need a 4 wheel drive to get down these roads but to be honest it was so fun!
Our host Mary is an amazing individual!!! After planning this vacation our middle child and her fiance came to us and asked if it would be OK to have a wedding on this trip, while we were all together. When I mentioned this to Mary and asked for a few suggestions on place, caterers and florist she jumped right in and became my weddings planner and the only point of contact I needed. She found the baker, the caterer for a bbq meal, she ran to the post office as items were shipped to her and stored them safely until we arrived! But on top of all of that as a surprise to us all , an arbor was built at the perfect spot for a beautiful view of Red Butte Mountain for the ceremony! When we saw it for the first time I think we all shed a tear for the thoughtfulness.
Any question I had from the start of my booking to the stupid little ones while on the property, Mary answered promptly and always had the solution to my question.
I will definitely be back to this property! I apologize for all the photos but this vacation was to amazing not to share!

All was wonderful, serene, and quiet. Definitely need a 4 wheel drive or high clearance vehicle. Like, nothing smaller than a Highlander, CRV, etc. Roads are bumpy. But excited to come back and spend more time and hopefully have a clear night under the stars!
