12/31/24- First time I’ve ever been here. I ask myself what took you so long? The GFP is managed by The Nature Conservancy. They do a great job in managing the environment, and enhancing habitats. I look forward to revisiting several times in 2025 over the seasons to see all the wonder of this preserve. GOC Peace.

A hidden gem south of the "cut" on the "island of Cape May". Found this place a couple of years ago and fell in love. Smiled big when we saw the bee hives in one of the fields. Smiled big again when we found the "tree cave", complete with picnic table inside. Great place for a peaceful walk any time of the year. Highly recommended along with all of the better known Cape May attractions.

Beautiful place to be to get away from everything except nature. I went there for the Butterfly Event where they put up a statue for the resemblance for protecting butterflies. Butterflies also migrate to this area during the summer and fall getting ready to go to Mexico for winter. It is such a beautiful place to visit. I don’t recommend going on a hot day though. Can be hard to withstand the heat.

Lesser-known spot for viewing the beauty of nature. Includes a braille trail and plenty of signage.

Very well kept trails. Plenty of different types of birds and flowers. Also the occasional turtle and butterflys. Not very much shade so make sure to bring plenty of water and sun screen. This place is a hidden gem of South Jersey. Looking forward to my next trip back possibility in the fall to catch the wildlife migration south.

Had a lovely experience at the preserve. Got a very informative tour from Land steward Lily. The paths are very well kept and they have these industrial art easles for anyone to capture the surrounding nature. There is a port-a-potty on site. I would recommend some sunblock and bug spray as well. The only thing I would have liked to see is a sign on the main road to better lead visitors to the preserve.

No road sign advertising the preserve on Route 626 that I saw — turn on Wilson street and there’s a parking lot at the end of the short street.

Signage for the trails is okay but could use improvement. I got off track taking the “perimeter” trail a few times. I recommend taking a picture of the map (or I attached mine) at the entrance for reference and also using Google/Apple maps, if necessary, to help.

A very pretty and well maintained park overall but it’s also a rustic preserve, so it has a natural feel.
