If you are considering a software from this company and thinking about buying it for the life of your system, then think again. Since the software requires it to be activated and verified through their activation system, the life of your purchase really depends on Encore's will. Regardless of you using the same old system, if Encore is no longer supporting the version you have, they expect you to buy the same software again. Let me clarify, you buy a software to make it work on Windows 7. A year later, they stop supporting that version. You have to buy a new version again for your still the same Windows 7 system. It is also not a really new version since the software really did not change for the past 20 years. Great deal.

If a company wants to charge for their product yearly, then they should switch to subscription plan and be honest about it.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Had a problem with downloading my logo from their logo design studio pro software in vector format. Reached out several times urgently because I needed to print a banner. Finally received a response after a week or so. "We have forwarded your issue to the back-end team and will get back to you with a fixed/resolution or a workaround". When I never received a response, I followed up several times getting the same response above. I finally received this gem of a response after continually emailing. "still, we don't have a new installer with an updated version." So you don't have an installer for your own product that your website says it has the capability to download my logo to Vector format? Not surprised, they never answer this question after several follow ups. Terrible company.
