D-Tools is amazing. People need to understand this program isn't something you can just buy at Walmart and figure it out in a few hours. This program do so much more then just bidding your projects. Scheduling, Designing, Work Orders, and much more. If your seriously considering buying D-Tools you will want to look into their support plans. Each company I've worked for had the support plans and each time I submitted a questions I was called within 1-2 hours. I think the longest I ever waited was 6-8 hours (I told them it was not important). You also do have a number to call if you have questions, they have 3-4 tech support reps. Thomas is by far the best tech support rep. But if you don't have the support plans it may take more than 1 day to get back to your questions.

Overall D-Tools is an amazing program once you completely understand it. They do offer training, you can go to them or they will send someone to your office for X amount of days. I would recommend the office visit.

I agree with others who think D-Tools is amazing. We are not even using the graphical design and wiring diagram functions yet, and still it is a super-critical system that we would be hard up to do any better way. We've used another, similar system in the past, and D-Tools is definitely the best in this type of software.

As far as their support - yes it's true that they don't want you to call right off the bat. They make you go thru their chat and email support first to get a bead on how urgent your problem is. They can resolve A LOT of problems quickly via chat and email. If they do need to talk, they will call in a reasonable amount of time for that particular problem - generally that day. I have come to appreciate that the support is as exactly as good as it needs to be to get the job done. No complaints.
