Bait and Switch company. They advertise a Dell 5550 laptop on Amazon that, in 4 different places on the Amazon page, states it has a fingerprint reader. Upon receipt of the laptop, surprise...no fingerprint reader is installed. This is an important security feature for many people. After 3 emails to this company, dba OEMGenuine on Amazon, they finally acknowledged that they do not have the model with the fingerprint reader and offered me a paltry amount for my "inconvenience." I escalated the matter to Amazon and the OEMGenuine informed me that I had "agreed" to return the laptop. I agreed to no such thing and I will let Amazon address this issue of bait and switch. I would never do business with this this company.

Purchased hard drives via Amazon, listed as new and marked that way on the antistatic bag. Both drives - and their replacements - show inconsistent SMART data: immediately out of the package, all four drives have non-zero read and write counts (one drive over 500G written!) and varying power-on times that seem inconsistent with dead-or-alive testing.
My impression is that the drives were misrepresented as new when they were not.
When I contacted the vendor via Amazon vendor chat to allow them an opportunity to explain or address this issue, their reply refused further action until I provided my physical address and phone number - a direct violation of Amazon's policy (even stated directly in the template text for the message!)
In short, I feel as if this is a questionable transaction combined with an unwillingness to address issues once they are found; I advise that one avoid doing business with a vendor as disreputable as this when there are so many competitors available.
