Edit: I have been meaning to revisit this since the original posting. Here's the story. Dome9 sent out a blast inviting people to a movie premier of The Last Jedi. I replied to the invite and then Dome9 sent me an email confirmation stating that I had a seat. Then a couple of days later they sent me an email claiming that they had accidentally invited more people than they had seats for. Now I was uninvited. At that point I was okay with their explanation. But then later that day 2 of my colleagues received confirmations that they were invited to the same event. Now, I was the one that told these colleagues about the event, and they replied to Dome9's invite several days after I had. It was obvious at this point that Dome9 was uninviting some people and giving those tickets to people that had signed up later. Then I posted the original review. "This company can't properly manage a movie screening it is hosting, how can one expect them to manage our cloud security?" Literally within minutes of the posting I received a phone call from the Marketing Manager at Dome9. This guy was something else. He admitted that the were Cherry Picking the people that they were giving the tickets to. Obviously they wanted to host potential clients and I understand that. However you need to act professional and ethical in the way this type of thing is managed. So, in all their wisdom they had uninvited me and invited 2 colleagues that have far less to do with IT or Cloud Security than I do. The final insult came when Dome9's Marketing Manager actually told me that he would get me a ticket to the premiere if "I could get him a meeting with our companies IT department". I was stunned, not sure if that is a bribe or what? Of course I didn't play along, but if I had then I guess he would have uninvited another "special" guest. So, Dome9 may or may not be good at Cloud Security, I don't know. All I know is I like doing business with companies and people that have uncompromising integrity!
