Working with Digital Decora has its costs. We built a custom home and used this company for shades and lights. Our quotes from Dave had to be adjusted due to his oversights on pricing and sizes of shades.
Also we thought we were getting round trim light fixtures when we got square. Dave insisted the architect sent an email saying square trim. We have yet to see the email. We sent him an email specifically saying round trim. It took months to get him to agree that the Lutron Ivan lights are interchangeable from square to round. He threatened that I would have to tear out our ceiling. Well we didn’t have to tear out our ceilings and we still were charged to change out trim. Also the trim lights took months to get. I also found out that the lights sat in Dave’s office for weeks before they were delivered to us. After his crew installed the round trim we noticed that there was one wrong light. Dave wouldn’t change the light.

The shades we thought we were getting all Lutron shades. Dave did a bait and switch. He sold us the Palladiom shades that has a modern detail to hold the shade on both ends. Palladiom doesn't make a roller shade which we needed as well as the electric. He told us that the Coulisse would be the roller shade which Lutron does sell. I found out that the Coulisse shade he sold us was not from the Lutron brand but from another brand named Coulisse & from the Cocoon collection which was never listed on our invoice only the word Coulisse. He never told us that we were getting this lesser brand and we paid Lutron price. Before we found this out he had us sign an agreement not to sue him. Now one of our shades is broke he won't help us! Dave didn't even explain what type of shades we should have with a house that gets full sunshine. The shades he sold us doesn't block out the heat from the sun.

Also we had our closet lights which we knew was not Lutron brand & ordered through Dave. Our main closet isn’t large 5’x6’. Dave ordered multi colored strip lights that cost over $1000.00. Our electrician and his crew couldn’t figure out how to install. It was not easy getting our money back. I don’t think we were fully refunded.
Dave said it would be no charge if we were to change to the blackout shades. Well when we decided we would on a few shades, there was a install charge for about $1200. This he didn’t mention.
Our home gets tons of sun light. Dave did not mention options for sunlight only blackout. We were sold heavy material/plastic like.
