Disappointed and Overpriced - Not Worth It

We had high hopes for this place judging by the atmosphere, but unfortunately, it fell far short. Right off the bat, the menu prices were shocking for what we received. They charged $8 for basic tater tots that were worse than what you'd find in a frozen Walmart bag. To top it off, we found a couple of frozen French fries at the bottom of the basket. The cheese sauce served with the tots came out cold and tasted artificial—completely unappetizing.

The biggest letdown was the food quality. A $17 bacon cheeseburger arrived completely raw, which is not only disappointing but also unsafe. My lady ordered a cheese pizza, and somehow, the dough was undercooked despite being so thin it had a cracker-like texture. I’m not sure how that’s even possible.

When we brought this to the waitress’s attention, she was polite but seemed indifferent and didn’t take any real action—no manager, no apology. I had to specifically ask to have the raw burger removed from our bill, which she did, but the overall experience still left a bad taste.

At the end of it all, we spent $70 for cheap, low-quality frozen food. The only redeeming item was the onion rings—they were fantastic—but it’s not enough to bring us back. This place has potential because the atmosphere is nice, especially if you’re just grabbing a drink, but they seriously need to improve the food quality and customer care.

Pretty good pub fare with decent prices. Sometimes a little too crowded & loud for my liking, but most won't mind that.

They know how to make two of my fave casual meals: a Reuben and Fish & Chips, both of which in other places manage to be soggy rather than toasted or fried to crispy perfection.

Our favorite and most “consistent” spot for the past 8 years when “Down the Shore.” We enjoy the lobster dishes and scallops while sitting outside. Never that long of a wait no matter how busy. 🏁

(Tip: If you need a bit more room sitting outside kindly ask the waiter to remove an extra chair. When sitting near the inside bar ~ people at the bar occasionally have a tendency to not realize how close they are to the tables ~ kindly speak up)

We enjoyed our meal here. Lobster roll was great, just the right size. One quibble, the noise was high, but it is a bar after all. One other item, for the fish and chips, they could use cottage fries instead of regular fries. That would no be very hard, and would make it special. The Tartar sauce was very good. Service was quick. The place was thoughtfully decorated too.

French onion soup is fantastic. Our server was Maryam and she was amazing with recommendations and service.. I've been here a few times but our service and food were fantastic for this particular dinner. Definitely want to come back for another French onion soup and another key lime martini.

Ordered a few appetizers and a burger. My husband ordered the steak with mashed potatoes and veggies. The food was good. Coconut shrimp and onion rings were a nice starter. The Bleu cheese burger was cooked correctly and presented nicely. I think serving bagged chips instead of fries is lame, but whatever. The steak was also cooked as ordered. The mashed potatoes tasted whipped and buttery. The veggies were tasty but slightly overcooked. The service was disappointing. Our server was not great. He was attentive enough, but not a very pleasant demeanor. Not bad enough to deter me from returning, but will likely try somewhere else next time.

Good restaurant, bit overpriced. We visited the pub during lunch time and ordered appetizers, a chicken salad sandwich and the 1.5lb lobster. The wings were good in flavor, however some of them were cold in the middle, meaning they were premaid and not fully heated up which was a little bit disappointing. The lobster was great - easy 10/10. The chicken salad sandwich though was a bit flavourless and is not recommended.
The service was really good and came by to check on us regularly or to give refills. Overall, it was a good experience, but a bit pricey in my opinion since not all dishes came out as expected.

Oh my goodness, the food and atmosphere is very good. Mary our server was very good. She took really good care of us. She recommended the barbarian pretzel which was delicious. My husband had the lobster and I had the lobster roll which was delicious. I would definitely recommend this place.
