I am not one to leave negative reviews, but need to tell it how it is based on my experience with ClockShark. My small business used ClockShark only for about three months. From inception, I noted the app would show employees who had “clocked out”, still on the clock and accruing time. Additionally, the app would not display employees, “clocked in” who I had verified did clock in. While this was frustrating, in the end, hours seemed to be tabulated accurately. Customer support seems to be located in the UK and is spotty at best. When brought to the attention Of customer support after many days of back-and-forth I was advised to download the updated app. All employees did so, and this is when things went completely haywire. Not only was the app continuously showing employees, “on the clock” who had clocked out and vice versa; now we had employees accruing 24-hours after clocking out after a 12 hour shift. The time and attendance for all 13 employees was completely inaccurate and took several hours to manually reconstruct and calculate. What a mess! I opted to cut my losses, cancel my subscription and move onto an another app, called, “On The Clock”. So far so good. After multiple requests for a refund from Clock Shark, I was denied. So it goes; this was my experience.

The worst app in the world. They don't want to pay my aunt for her hours worked. It's not her fault that the app didn't work well. There are witnesses who say she was working the whole time, and they don't want to pay her because of this app. I'm almost sure that every 5 stars this app has are from its employees.

Decided to cancel my services due to our business getting smaller after the death of our owner. My subscription was integrated with QuickBooks where we had to fix and make a lot of changes as a small business. In the process, Clock Shark charged an additional $55+ because I "added users". The technical error was overlooked by the Clock Shark and denied my refund and refuse to hear too why. Instead, they want to take our money. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY. THE SENIOR REP HUNG UP ON ME after trying to explain that no users were added and if they were its an error and they should reconsider their denial of my refund. They explained to me that it's a subscription-based service but are charging me per user and refuse to understand that it was an error, and no users should have been added. We've had two employees since April 2024. I view this had fraudulent behavior and they suck.

This software is great and the integration with our accounting system is an absolute timesaver when processing payroll but the main reason I'm writing this review is because they used to have the absolute best customer service I've ever experienced either in business or in my personal life even though support was always thru a chat box. Every time I had to interact with customer service the response was immediate and the technician knew exactly how to solve the issue. Anytime I received a call from a competitor about switching I would immediately say no and flat out tell them that it was because of ClockShark's amazing customer service. I don't know what made them change over the past month but their customer service is now absolute hot garbage. You never get a rep right away. You have to wait for a return email that never comes because the idiot on the other end doesn't input your email and then you have to call them to get them to then resend the email instead of actually helping you on the phone. Why ClockShark? Why? Your customer service used to absolutely make my day and restore my faith in ACTUAL customer service. Now you're just another company that takes my money and doesn't care if your product works or how to resolve issues. It's depressing and now I have no real reason to stay. I beg you to go back to your old model for customer service.

We have used this for 5 years at work. In the beginning it was fast and efficient but lately and particularly TODAY the server issues are just to much and to frequent to be efficient. I've spent almost 4 hours to do 12 people's time card. I called in and customer service basically said keep refreshing every 10 min but I have ton refresh every person and then it gives an error message, they don't know when they will have a fix for it. It's time consuming and frustrating when pay roll needs to be completed by a certain time.

EDITED TO reflect response: I appreciate your response and would be available to correspond with the Director via email if that would work. Clock shark people did get this server issue fixed as quickly as I believe they could and the web page worked much quicker than it has lately. It also does feel like every time there is a server issue they are working on it immediately-I didn't want my frustrated review to imply that the company isn't diligent or that the application itself is useless-as it is a very convenient application.

The software is great, but there support team is amazing. They are always there to solve problems quickly!! The have really taken my time tracking to the next level and helped with our internal job costing! The staff actual now prefer the digital app over paper time sheets (even my old staff).

This app is designed to steal from employees, all the good reviews are from employers who have successfully paid their employees less. Features such as automatic break deductions and time rounding help to steal from the working men/women- despite working through breaks or starting early. Lacking of features for employees to dispute errors in time tracking and payroll help to further steal from the end user.
This app is the flagship of any cancerous organization.

Clock Shark is awesome!! It is so easy to use and navigate through. Our employees love that we switched to Clock Shark. The integration tool works great and the job costing is easy to set up and use. You can switch jobs at an instant and that has been super helpful to our employees. Great customer service too!
