The "Fraud Analyst" emailed me asking to validate a payment by asking for my bank info and drivers license in PDF form. Without informing me which payment # needs validation.

How does a Fraud Analyst ask to validate fraud in the most fraudulent ways? A random email asking for my bank info and full image of my driver's license in PDF form.

I did not trust this email. Trying to call the office phone, nobody picks up.

At least tell me the payment # and date that you are trying to validate so that I know that this email is not a scam. Without this, I assume this is just another phishing scam.

I have also had negative experience with this company on our first go-round with child support. Civitek's website kept failing to save my routing and account number making online payment difficult. After resolving the issue myself and submitting payment successfully I got an email requesting verification by sending my routing number and account number (again) as well as a copy of my driver's license. They requested I send this via email within 2 business days. Email is NOT a secure mechanism for such sensitive information and this request is shocking from a company contracted to a government organization which is normally tight on security! It violates their own security policy as documented on their website.

I have called and emailed Civitek and have had no responses to either.

I agree with other posters that in a situation where stress is already high, and we're trying to do the right thing, Civitek's technology and business practices make it much more challenging.

Can't believe my state uses these scam artists for child support payments. Made a payment, including Civitek's exorbitant fees, but they rejected it a couple days later for no reason. The money was there. When I called the number that I was directed to call in the payment rejection email, there was nobody to talk to during business hours and I was directed to leave a message with a plethora of required information. However, 2 seconds into leaving the message, they just ended the call. So they require you to leave about a minute's worth of info but give you 2 seconds to leave that info. Smh. Total scam. I bet anything they still keep the fees. And I have to pay them again when I pay again.

You cam never get ahold of any one they want all you bank info but won't ever call you to verify they are real so they expect you to put all your info out there. Horrible company they also hold your money till you call them for your money return.

3.5% fee to process a payment, zero customer service, just pointed negative language as they take advantage of vulnerable people stuck in a difficult system trying to do what's right for their children.
