Justin and Steve made sure our family's experience came first. We originally booked an afternoon lesson b/c of our travel schedule. But the wind had picked up and the conditions were less than ideal for first timers. So Justin gave us the option to reschedule for the next morning without any fuss or fees, just positive vibes. We all had a blast with Shaka Steve. Dry land instructions set us up for success and safety. Even when our 8 year old pulled out, Steve went ashore to entertain, educate, and keep him safe so we could continue surfing. We cannot recommend Central Coast Surf School enough, especially for first timers with children. Special team = special experience.

I can’t recommend Central Coast Surf School enough!! I’m from the Midwest, so I had zero ocean experience prior to my first lesson with CCSS. Their curriculum is super well rounded and I felt safe and comfortable the entire time. The instructors give you great feedback and will push you to be successful in the best way! The truck is easy to find, they have all the right gear, and there’s plenty of parking. Definitely add a photo package if this is a bucket list activity for you!!

Central Coast Surf School at Pismo Beach is absolutely fantastic! They are super flexible with scheduling, making it easy to fit a lesson into your day. The instructors are patient, knowledgeable, and great with all ages, whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to improve your skills. They create a fun and encouraging atmosphere, making sure everyone feels comfortable and confident in the water. Also all of the gear you need is provided. If you’re looking to learn to surf or just want an awesome experience at Pismo Beach, this is the place to go! Highly recommend!

Definitely make sure you add a photo package to your surf lesson!! If your whole family is in the water, or you came by yourself and don’t have anyone on the beach to snap some photos, let the Central Coast Surf School crew do it for you! They make it so fun, and they’ll work with you to get some great shots.

I had an incredible experience with Central Coast Surf School! From start to finish, everything was organized, professional, and so much fun. The instructors were knowledgeable, friendly, and truly passionate about surfing. They made sure everyone felt safe and confident in the water, whether it was your first time on a board or you were looking to improve your skills.

Kids had a blast taking a lesson for a 14th birthday celebration! The instructor was attentive and exciting for the kids. We even got a photo package to go with it!! A great experience & great memories for the children. Can't wait to come back and do it again.

Great place to learn how to surf.Instructors are very good and have alot of expierence riding waves.I highly recommend you surf with thus great school and grow your surfing skills.
