One of the most amazing experiences in my lifetime. I will definitely be coming back as soon as possible. The instructor was clear spoken and had a great personality. He made the entire experience super comfortable. It was my first time flying, and the anxiety was quenched with the willingness to pay attention and learn what the instructor was explaining. I complied with everything he explained, and he made it feel like a natural experience rather than me forcing the enjoyment (like a bad Rollercoaster, for example). The view was jaw-dropping, and I was left in awe and speechless a few times. Seeing it in person versus seeing it through a cameras eye is almost not comparable. The landing is what I was the most nervous about, which it felt much more like a smooth transition. The entire ride was so much fun and filled with even more knowledge; it left me wanting for more. If you feel like trying it, I say do it! You will find out if you like it or not and my money says you will definitely enjoy it, just remember to, keep an open mind, pay attention to what's going on and enjoy the flight, rest assured in the instructor's abilities and experience.

I travelled from the U.K to train for my FAA CPL, instrument and multi engine ratings. The staff at California Aviation delivered the training within the agreed timescale ( 8 weeks) and on budget.
The facilties are excellent as are the very well maintained fleet of aircraft.
The weather was never an issue in sunny california and I would highly recommend them for your flight training.

Lower priced school that is really reflected in the lower quality aircraft. 1st time flying with them and non calibrated instruments and broken mic switches. There are alot of other school options to try first.

I started my training here back in 2009. Since then I have completed all of my ratings (Private, Instrument, Commercial, CFI and CFII) all at this school. It all started with an hour demonstration flight and I was hooked. It wasn't just about the thrill of flying, but in fact much more. From the moment I walked through the doors I was treated as if I was a part of the family and not just a costumer.

Every day I showed up I was greeted with a smile, a "hello" and "how are you doing today". The real kicker is, it wasn't just from my instructor. It was from everyone. The maintenance guys, other students, instructors that weren't even mine and most of all the owners themselves went out of their ways to make sure I was doing well. The training I received exceeded my expectations. The atmosphere was simply amazing and a joy to be around.

The dedication I saw come from everyone involved in the company towards their customers was hands down the best I have ever encountered. I highly recommend this place to anyone interested even remotely interested in aviation. A demo flight could change your life. I know it changed mine forever.
