Almost six months ago, we at Upbeet Brands made a major change to our marketing strategy. Guided by strong recommendations from trusted business colleagues, we parted ways with our then-current agencies and consolidated all of our marketing efforts under C4 Social.Through this relationship, which spans the entire spectrum of digital marketing, C4 became our full-service agency of record, and our de facto marketing department.

Over the course of my career, I’ve engaged with dozens of marketing agencies, both big and boutique. Almost a half year into our partnership with C4, I rate them without hesitation in the upper echelon of marketing specialists I’ve worked with. I use the term partnership very deliberately, as C4 immediately transcended the traditional agency-client paradigm to become a trusted member of our corporate family.

Their approach to our marketing needs (and by extension, our business goals) resembles a captive marketing department, comprised of experts in every area of paid-owned-earned digital marketing. They also tap into outside experts for specialized needs. Early on, they said that if we didn’t feel as though we were their only client, they weren’t delivering on their promise. They have met that standard, without question.

Unlike many agencies I’ve worked with, C4 doesn’t focus on ancillary KPI metrics, but rather those that drive meaningful and attributable P&L results (a rarity in the mktg agency world). They grade their success based on the same set of outcomes that our investors use to measure us, which perfectly aligns our goals.

Another refreshingly unique characteristic of C4 is their ingenuity and comfort operating outside of the box. Many agencies steer clear of risk, opting to play it safe by focusing on the status quo. We firmly believe in the merits of taking calculated risks, and consider a "failure to fail" a flawed and overly conservative strategy.
