We went on an incredible bear viewing trip to Hallo Bay. Guide Erica led us on the most magical trip of a lifetime with the bears. She was so experienced, we felt so safe and she really helped us understand the bear behavior. Pilot Wes had so much great information and the trip to the bears and back was incredible! Seeing the expansive wilderness in pristine coastal Alaska was truly breathtaking. I can’t recommend this trip enough and Beluga Air was amazing.

If I could give Beluga Air and Wes a 1000 / 5 stars, I would. We spent 6 months in Alaska and this was truly the highlight of our time. When our original Brooks Falls trip was cancelled due to weather over in Katmai, Wes gave us flying lessons which were so much fun! The team was extremely compassionate and helpful in helping us find something that worked for us. We decided to do the backcountry bear hike with the tour guide instead, and wow!!!!! Being up close and personal with about 40 bears was the most surreal and exciting experience we have ever had. Wes was the perfect balance of fun and informative. Overall we had the best day and would do it again in a heartbeat. If you can carve a day out to spend with Wes and the team- we very highly recommend it! It would be our #1 Alaska recommendation. And make sure to stop and pet Kenai in the office too!

We can’t recommend Beluga Air enough!! We visited during the summer and had booked a flight to Redoubt Lodge. Angela was so friendly on the phone and it was very easy to book. The morning we got to the office, we realized we had a completely flat tire on our rental car! Wes was amazing, he recommended a tire shop down the road and lent us his truck so that my brother could drive me back to the plane! Wes is an very skilled pilot, he has a really cool DeHaviland Beaver plane. He provided great info on the flight out and back, such amazing scenery. Our trip to redoubt was amazing, it’s a special place in Lake Clark National Park. We went out on pontoon boats and saw about 20 huge Alaskan Brown bears eating salmon. Great, delicious lunch and the lodge and then Wes flew us home. A family run business, extremely nice, friendly people, book this trip! A day we’ll never forget! Oh, and my tire was all fixed when we returned!

Our fishing charter was rescheduled so we decided to try and find a flight to brook falls. We showed up at opening to ask and Kelsey called everywhere securing us a flight for 4 people. She went above and beyond and we weren’t even flying with them. Amazing customer service, thank you for making our trip!

We had a fantastic experience with Beluga Air in our 2021 July Alaska trip and highly recommend them! This is a family business with first-class service. We booked a trip to the Brooks camp at Katmai national park for bear watching and Angela was incredibly helpful in the booking process. She kept us updated as the weather changes on the day of trip in case they need to reschedule. Wes was our pilot and he was awesome too. He had a great sense of humor and so many interesting stories to tell about Alaska and kept us entertained during the flight. We had the best day ever at the park watching 10+ bears catching salmon in close distance. When we got back to our cabin, we realized that we left our water bottle on the plane. Since we have to catch a flight the next day we couldn't drive back to Homer to get it. I didn't expect this at all, but Angela offered to mail it back to our home in California without asking about postage whatsoever. She also took a lot of care to package it extremely well and we received the water bottle a few days after we got home. It's a small detail but this is not something that I've experienced or expect to experience with many other big-brand business. We would definitely fly with Beluga again for more bear watching next time we are in the area and will recommend them to all our family and friends!

Wes and Angela run a terrific outfit. Love the Beaver - built the same year I was. Plus they are just super people. Friendly, helpful, safe flying and I've been out to McNeil River State Game Sanctuary with them a couple times. That's a tricky landing spot, tide dependent and Wes always sticks the landing. And he knows where the bears are 😀

Exceptional and entertaining pilot, excellent bear guide and the most amazing day watching dozens of bears and a fox up close in Katmai National Park. A stroke of good fortune and persistence brought me to Beluga Air and led to an Incredible Grizzly Bear Adventure!! Our original flight had been cancelled as a result of weather and after calling many places the staff at Beluga came through.. Angela was absolutely lovely with advising me on my brothers ability to do the physical aspect of the trip; After much assurance she actually gave us the phone number of the actual guide. My brother spoke with Dave and felt really supported and capable.. The next day we were part of an adventure!! The float plane was amazing and Wes, the pilot was hysterical.. With a very small group we flew to Katmai National Park and walked the Tundra with the grizzly bears.. Dave was so adept as a guide that each and all of us felt safe and secure as he seemed to know exactly how and when the bears would move, hunt, or pop up!!.. Both Dave and Wes told stories, educated us and guided the photographers in the group to the ideal shots!! The level of fun and professionalism was perfect...If you're going to Homer Alaska and you desire the most perfect balance between fun and adventure call Beluga Air and go on their Bear Trip to Katmai.. You will make lasting memories and take great photos...
