To Whom It May Concern at Akool Inc.:
I am submitting this formal complaint in response to your refusal of my refund request. Your previous correspondence, citing California law as justification for refusing my refund, reflects poor business practices and demonstrates a lack of respect for me as both a consumer and a small business owner.

Let’s set the record straight:
Failure to Comply with California Law
Under California Business and Professions Code Section 17538, you are explicitly required to clearly disclose your refund and return policies before accepting payment. Your website and sign-up process utterly fail this requirement. Furthermore, California’s Automatic Renewal Law (ARL) mandates that you provide clear, conspicuous disclosure of subscription terms and ensure consumers can easily cancel online subscriptions. Akool does not meet these standards.

Specifically:
• No Clear Disclosure: At no time during my sign-up process did Akool conspicuously disclose your no-refund policy. Your payment interface, powered by Stripe, ambiguously places the terms of service near the “Powered by Stripe” link. A reasonable consumer would conclude this refers to Stripe’s payment terms—not Akool’s refund policy.
• Hidden Terms of Service: Your Terms of Service document is 24 pages of fine print. Your “no-refund” policy is buried deep within pages 13 and 14, clearly failing California’s requirement for transparency.

Reasoning for My Refund Request:
1. Performance Issues: The product suffers from unacceptable performance delays, making it impractical for professional, deadline-driven work.
2. AI Limitations: The tool does not meet the advertised standards. AI-generated content is noticeably inaccurate in lip-syncing and face alignment, rendering the tool essentially useless for my intended purposes.
3. Pricing and Subscription Management Concerns: The pricing structure is misleading, and upgrading from a severely limited “Free Trial” plan effectively forced me into paying without genuine exploration of premium features. Moreover, your site provides no clear mechanism for cancelation or account management, resulting in unnecessary frustration and wasted hours.

Reputation & Customer Experience
Your company’s poor reputation, as evidenced by your 'F' rating with the Better Business Bureau (BBB), reflects repeated failures to respond appropriately to legitimate customer concerns—like mine. It’s clear this is part of a broader pattern of unacceptable customer service.

My Request & Next Steps
I demand an immediate refund to resolve this matter amicably. I will not provide my photo ID, as it was not required during my signup and appears to be yet another unreasonable obstacle you've constructed.
Should you continue refusing my refund, please understand clearly:
• I will escalate this matter formally with the California Attorney General's office.
• I will file complaints with relevant consumer protection organizations, including the BBB.
• I will make sure my experience, well-documented with screenshots and evidence of your deceptive business practices, is shared broadly with media, social networks, and online review platforms.

This is not a threat; it's transparency. Consumers deserve to know how your business operates.
