Reasonably priced tax experts. I will never again do my own taxes. I failed to claim some of my husband’s income from a previous employer without realizing it. IRS noticed. Starner helped me get that resolved and minimized my liability. I would have significantly overpaid the additional taxes owed without them. I also appreciate that they treated the matter with same urgency I felt it deserved.

Wow! Starner Tax Group is a high integrity amazing team!! They came highly recommended which we also recommend highly! When we went through an audit they helped us. They answer all of our questions or research to find the answer. Our kids also use them. Tim has done all our taxes for several years personal & business. The staff is always friendly it’s like visiting friends every year!

For the past several years Starner Tax Group has filed our taxes. It is a very relaxed atmosphere where you are greeted at the door and treated with appreciation. We were walked through each step and most of our questions were answered promptly and clearly. From the time we got there for our appointment until we left was less than an hour.
Have no complaints about the professionalism of Starner Tax Group just the $200 we were charged for having it filled out there. We have moved to Missouri so we will probably have someone with more knowledge of the Missouri tax codes file our return next year.

This company has a great reputation and came highly referred from a respected customer of mine. My experience: They lost my S-Corp papers first. Bounced me around to three accounts. I asked to have my stuff back to go elsewhere because of this and the owner asked me to sit down with him where he personally guaranteed he was going to take them over and do them himself and make things right for losing my paperwork and bouncing my stuff around. As a business owner I understood problems happen and happily gave him a second chance. Then they proceeded to not get them done on due date though they had them a month and a half before due date. They didn’t even let me know they weren’t completed at appropriate time (correspondence throughout has been abysmal), so I had to wait two weeks for them to return from vacation to find they did an “extension”. Then more weeks past with no word or progress so I finally gave them an ultimatum that I was picking them up that afternoon completed or not. When I got there to pick them up they were done but they charged me $600!!!!! for doing nothing more than entering totals, hour and a half tops of work. I totaled and provided all the information they entered before giving them my taxes literally serving them my taxes on a platter and for them to charge me that ridiculous price I’m certain it was out of spite for running out of patience with them. And to top it all off, it turns out they didn’t even do the extension, because today I just received a $390 fine from the IRS for my S-Corp being filed late and probably will receive another one for my personal. Without a doubt the worst customer experience of my life and possibly worthy of a call to the Intermittent Business Bureau.

Tim Starner has been our accountant for several years. He will take the time to listen to you and advise you to make sure you fully understand the tax rules. I was a new business owner and my first accountant was just entering the data that we gave him and see what the software spit out. Starners took my first two returns and refilled them correctly and got me money back. Very good experience.
