This school was by far the worse decision I ever made for my child. This director and office manager of this school are quite frankly unprofessional and don’t know have to deal with children or parents. They pick “favorites” and treat you like crap if they feel your child is a problem. Let me start by saying that they do not actually “teach” in this school. Your child will not be obtaining any sort of education here. Now, some might argue that at this age they are in school to interact with other children, which I can agree to a certain extent. However, children need some sort of structure. They may sell you on the fact that they follow a “Montessori” approach. They do no such thing; MAYBE for the older children like ages 4+, but the little ones are allowed to run wild all day! Then they are shocked when children start acting out. They also only have one teacher in each classroom, except for the one year olds. They will argue that they follow the regulations for the teacher to student ratio, which they do…. But forgive me, 11 two-year olds for ONE teacher is a lot to handle when you provide ZERO structure for these kids. They make these poor teachers feel incapable of handling their classrooms, when in reality it’s managements fault for setting them up for failure. I urge you to find different schools, do your research. This school is literally just providing babysitting services because they are by no means a school. Any other school I have seen has at least 2 teachers per class and provides structure for kids. Taking my child out of this school has been the best decision I have EVER made. I no longer get called every day from school to be told that my child is misbehaving. I no longer get ridiculous “incident reports,” which mind you, they were very quick to write these reports whenever my child acted out, yet if another child would bite or hit my child they would never write a report. Now my child is being challenged academically, behaves with teachers and peers, and is shown so much care and love by the teachers at the new school. La Petite is NOT cheap- they should be providing better services for families instead of providing headaches and heartache. Don’t let anyone sell you on La Petite, it’s awful. Do your research and find a better school- I wish I would have done this sooner.

I can't even give this place a one star. They treated my nephew so poorly, extremely inattentive and picking favorites. That's not how you take care of toddlers. When you bring a child to a place you are expecting them to be treated right and with care and love not nastiness. A child shouldn't feel bullied or mistreated by who is taking care of them. They mentally abuse kids, let the kids run around and not give structure, they would rather kick a kid out then try to help manage and redirect. I would NEVER recommend this day care.

I LOVE this school! My son started at six months old and his first teachers were so caring like grandmothers and aunts. I can see them entertaining, reading, feeding, and just caring for the babies all day through the cameras. I don't know how they did it. He's now in a transitional toddler room while he gets used to the differences in naps and eating. Those teachers are also lovely. They helped ween him off the bottle and sleep independently. I've always had great communication with Mayelin and America and they just love him. He loves going there and I'm forever grateful to feel comfortable.

I loveee love love this school. My son has been enrolled since 4 1/2 months, he’ll be 4 in a few months. My career is in child welfare and my child’s safety is #1 when he’s not with me. I did a lot of research before choosing this school. The teachers are awesome, the admin staff is also great, very friendly. I don’t speak Spanish but language has never been an issue when communicating with the teachers about my son. My son also understands Spanish, which I am grateful for. I also admire the efforts to keep our kids safe especially during this pandemic (Covid-19) and all the safety precautions the school are taking since some parents do have to work during this time. At one point I attempted to withdraw him due to distance from home/work but I could not bring myself to do it after checking out two other schools. They are the best. My son loves it, he loves his teachers and I see how happy he is at drop off (very important when leaving your kids anywhere). Even if he cries sometimes when I drop off, they would send a picture shortly after of him playing or doing some time of activity, which puts my mind at ease, that he’s okay. I can go on and on but lastly I will say that my son is very advanced for a 3 year old and some of the credit for that definitely goes to the wonderful curriculum they provide for the kids.

La Petite Academy is an excellent school! My twin grandsons have been attending this school for about a year now and they love their school and their teachers. The teachers are very caring, loving and professional. My grandchildren are toddlers and the teachers do many fun and educational activities with them.
The staff is very responsible and the administration is excellent. There is a friendly and warm environment in the school. The facility is clean, child friendly and safe. This school is located in a convenient area, it has a nice playground for the children and there is plenty of parking spaces in the front.
The food is also very good and my grandchildren like it. I love their open doors policy to family members and the fact that I can go visit the daycare and my grandchildren's classroom at any time. I have peace of mind that my grandchildren are well taken care of and that is priceless. This school is a great choice!

My wife and I put our son at La Petite on NW 7th Street at 6 months. Best decision we ever made. Five stars is not enough to rate this daycare. They cared and nurtured him. He would glow with happiness seeing his teacher (Maritza) and two supervisors (Amerika and Maylin). When he was moved to the toddler room, it was the same experience. He progressed in motor and vocal skills in the one year he was there. The place is a little pricey at first but once you realize that this includes diapers, food, camera access, minute to minute updates (Brightweel app) and peace of mind, you understand that there is no price that is too high for your child. I highly recommend this daycare because you cannot put a price on peace of mind when it comes to your child.
