If you're gonna solicit businesses for free mulch, don't harass them if they suggest a different point of contact. Hunter Tarver acting arrogant when he's asking for a handout.

No thanks Hunter.... You called a business and you're were unaware that the number that you just dialed charged the business $75 for the call. You're not a customer, and when brought up, you chose to act arrogant and condescending.

Instead, you should probably just apologize. Your trees, Atlanta, Hunter, you should understand how much competition is out here. You should be sensitive to the small businesses that are fighting just to feed our families. When you call us up asking for free mulch and a simple ask of hey how did you find us you get snarky? When you just cost me $75 for the phone call that I now have to get credit from Google for because you're not a customer? Super insensitive man.....

I've been bringing my students into Atlanta for a Trees Atlanta tour every year since 2014 (w/ the exception of 2020 - 2022, which was a shame b/c outside was one of the safer places to be).

Both before and after the pandemic, Trees Atlanta staff and docent/tour guides have been kind, flexible, understanding, easy to work with and so incredibly helpful for my students. Trees Atlanta tour guides went above and beyond the standard Eastside BeltLine Arboretum tour and embedded the curriculum of the class I teach into the tour in order to give the students the best possible learning experience.

I teach in one of the cities nearby Atlanta, but many students who have lived in the suburbs of Atlanta their entire lives are not that familiar with the city (and economic engine) at the heart of this metro area. This tour has been SO incredibly helpful for these students to familiarize themselves not just with the city, but the material for the class.

Whether you live in Atlanta, or one of the surrounding areas, do yourself a favor and join one of the Trees Atlanta tours. You will ABSOLUTELY learn something new about this city and natural environment we all share.

A noble idea with poor execution! They tore up the sidewalks to plant trees on my block which exacerbated 2 major neighborhood issues: 1) car vandalism! The trees block the view of cars parked on the street which goes against the basic principle of crime prevention through environmental design (CPTED); and 2) limited parking - in this old neighborhood garages and driveways are rare so some residents park cars on the sidewalk at night to keep cars from blocking so much of our narrow streets. The new trees now limit our ability to do this.

Y'all really should have talked to residents to learn our priorities instead of assuming that putting trees everywhere is best.

This nonprofit is one of the best in Atlanta. Its new headquarters building is perfect for sharing space with other environmental nonprofits, holding community meetings and hosting parties/weddings. It is located near the Atlanta BeltLine as well!
