A vast green area in an urban setting of Hacienda Heights. This is a really well laid out park with large picnic areas throughout the park. The large picnic areas can be reserved for a fee and each area is away from the main road and other picnic areas for plenty of privacy. The whole area was well maintained with several very new playgrounds for small and older children. It costs $7 per car to enter or $5 for senior. Parking outside of the gate is free if you’d like to walk into the park. Many trails can be explored, unless it’s muddy from the rain like when we visited yesterday. Plenty of wildflowers can still be seen even during the last week of April.

What a beautiful and well maintained state park. There is plenty of parking, enough bathrooms and well positioned. Beautiful trails for all ages with a horse stable, playgrounds, and magnificent scenery. Wildflowers are blooming. Just follow trail etiquette and dont stop on the native wildflowers. Black mustard (yellow flower) looks pretty but very invasive and dangerous when it dries in summer. Watch out for rattle snakes and cougars.

Great place to hike. The plush greenery, beautiful blooms of cherry blossoms, and lots of white, yellow and purple flowers make it a quick and easy way to take a nature break.

There’s also a new Nothing Bundt Cakes coming soon in the plaza next door. Excited for opening day 🤤

Really nice park and plenty of parking. Got to see the cherry blossoms last months and they finally finished the playgrounds for the kids. Plenty of flowers so see and a great place to hike.

I always like visiting this place. Parking is free almost every day. I think they only charge on weekends, but there's always space to park all over the place. There are walking trails and cement paths. It's a very large place and has several public restrooms, perfect for picnics or playing with your pet or children.

Usually I don't take pics here cuz I just enjoy the view...

Fantastic place to take your family for walks and short hikes on the well-maintained pathways and trails. Many places to sit under some shade to have a picnic.

Pleasantly maintained facility with ample parking. Staff is caring and helpful, especially Ms. Katherine. She goes above and beyond to make sure events run smoothly and that everything is in place as needed. I really appreciate the yearly pet adoption and services program that she helps to promote to the community. Thank you for your great service and dedication to your community.

Two homeless people took over the bigger kids swings and used the toddler swing for storing their stuff the whole time we were there. No wonder there are barely any kids at this playground (off of Colima road) and whatever parents bring their kids to that playground don't stay long. The sign at the playground clearly states the playground equipment is designed for kids 5-12 years old. My kids were scared to come anywhere close to the swings, not to mention the unpleasant odor (of alcohol I believe?!) coming from the swing area. We used to come to this playground the whole time but since the city doesn't enforce the rules, it's too bad we have to avoid this playground now so that homeless adults (!) can have fun swinging and using the playground instead of it being a safe and clean place for little children. We have been coming here for years. It went from no homeless to homeless around the playground to homeless in playground benches to homeless taking over playground equipment and storing their stuff on it!!
