It's a sad state of affairs for a once lovely park in front of the Central Library. Once living grass is now replaced by artificial turf. A sad anachronism against living trees. The fountains no longer flow with water. What's more depressing is no one seems to care for the increasing usage of artificial greenery when native flora would suffice.

They need to hold up their end of the deal with the city and keep the fountains properly maintained. All the ground security staff there should Unionize!

Garden is located west of central public library , very beautiful and when I was there one Saturday morning I felt that I am out from the reality ,medie of the concrete jungle that small garden could give you a ultemat peace and also in the south west corner you can see the work peace bell which was dedicated to people and the city of Los Angeles by world ☮️ organization who's base is lots Toyko , Japan and another thing I loved the silent , that was a ultemat felling ♥️♥️♥️♥️

McGuire Garden is a park connected to the downtown LA Central Library you can come in rent out a book or joined the seminar and learn something new or just sit in the park and watch all of the action of downtown LA 24-hour Security on premises

I love this little park! It’s a great place to have lunch and relax on a bench. It has great views of the surrounding towers, and pretty fountains and statues all around.

There are quite a few homeless wandering the grounds, but the library security ward off those who are disturbing the peace, but I have witnessed a couple of low key drug deals, people going through the trash, and people deficating in the gardens.

No laying on the grass. No tripods for photos. Closes at dusk. Dog friendly.
