Do not use this company no matter what. They just randomly charged 6 of my customers credit cards from 2016. Then they refunded more than they improperly charged so I am out $545. After being a customer for over 14 years, they told me I should just be happy that it is the first time it happened. They only care about their fees, not customer service. I switched to lawpay.

Absolutely horrible. Both service and product are complete garbage. They stared charging me an additional 5 dollars a month without telling me about it. They originally said they would only charge me the 5 dollars If i didn’t charge more than 200 a month. Even charging thousands per month I was still charged the additional 5. When I tried to cancel (before they charged my account the additional 5 dollars) they said it would take a few weeks to cancel my service and they would be billing me again for my monthly service. What a crock! When caking customer service they were not helpful in the least. Each time it was “sorry, not our problem..” terrible company. I hope it burns to the ground and goes out of business for being so dishonest and unethical.

ETA- absolutely worthless company. Called them to get my transaction history and since I closed the account they cant help me until January of next year. worst business in the world!

Very disappointed with this company. I have been a customer for over 15 years and this is the 3rd month that my Svc fee went from $16.95 to $115.95 with no notice. I called last month to just get the runaround from whomever answered the call. Now, it is telling me to leave a message. 🤬

Never use them. I had an account with them where I was not charged any fees except for on each transaction. Randomly, they started charging my account monthly fee without my permission and when I called them about it they said they attempted to email me and notified me. That email account was wrong in their system so I never received it. They had my right phone number and mailing address if they wanted to really notify me, but chose not to. So without the consent of business owners they will just start charging randomly, and if I hadn’t noticed it I would have been charged indefinitely. If you’re going to start charging people you should have an opt-in in that email, and if they don’t then either reach out another way or suspend the account. Shady way of doing business if they only stop when they are called out on it.

I had an offer email from my bank to use iTransact for my business instead of my square. I never responded to the email. I also never signed up for anything. I recieved that email in 2014.
Well, in July of this year (2017) I start getting $4.99 charges from this business. Who obviously got my account info from my bank which is very disappointing. I thought at first that maybe it was from an online purchase that I had made. I had googled the business and it had said credit card processing company. So that was my first thought. Well I kept getting charged into October. After responding in August and September to the emails stating they had the wrong email and were taking money out of my account without permission for something I had never signed up for and never even used. So finally in October a lady calls me. She said she looked into my account and I had never had any activity through their business. She told me she could only refund me for the last 30 days of charges. Which is BS. I asked her "So you have been mistakenly charging me for 4 months and you refuse to refund me for your mistakes?" She replied "By law they can only refund for the last 30 days." (Which is also BS) So I asked "I have been telling you to stop since July. This isn't my problem at all." She told me she would refund me for the last 30 days and cancel my account. Afterwards I tried calling back to speak with the owner of the company and all my calls went straight to an answering machine without even ringing, this is after I selected the line I wanted to be transferred to. I tried multiple lines. I assume they have blocked me. What a poor way this company has chosen to resolve a mistake that they made, ILLEGALLY. I will never ever recommend this business to any other business owners. I hope that this review will also show others that this is a shady unprofessional business who sucks at costumer service! Square is 100x's better.

I just wanted to give you a heads up that it's not very easy to close an account with iTransact. I called and asked them to close my account about two years ago. I recently received an account fee saying that my account was still active (I called them and they're going to reimburse the fee). I called them today and asked them again to close my account, but they said a phone call is not sufficient. They require you to print and fill out an account closure form and send it to them in the mail, or fax/email a filled out form. Anyway, it's a bit of an unnecessary pain for customers in my opinion. I don't mean to be unkind in leaving this review, but I want them to have the feedback, since I'm sure I'm not the only business owner who's attempted (unsuccessfully) to close their iTransact account and been hit with unanticipated fees.

Total garbage.... Their reader stopped working after a while, they sent me a new one, then they changed their app so that one didn't work anymore. They sent me another that didn't work, then they said I need to buy one with a chip reader, I did and it didn't work, they said I needed a different phone (mine a 6 month old LG..). I told them no, they need to get a functional system and canceled service.
All in all, having to manually enter credit cards cost about 2% more than if the card is swiped. It has cost me some $2300 over the last year. Even worse they are still billing me 2 months after I canceled service, & they won't refund what they have taken! It smells like fraud to me...
This is the shoddiest, most crooked "professional" service I have ever had, & I may have to sue them just to get them to stop making withdraws from my account!
There should be a 0 star rating just for scum like this.

I started doing business with iTransact to support a local business but then they were purchased by Payroc and customer service went downhill from there. While the people are nice and polite they were unable to resolve issues with our mobile chip readers and sliders. When I asked for a refund on the reader it was denied. Sorry folks - look elsewhere for merchant services.
