We joined Tekmetric after spending a few years on another SMS. It hands down saved us more time than I would have ever expected. I am a one man shop with my wife being a stay at home mom but manages some of the "back office" things for me. Being able to build and send estimates, get approvals, take payments, and mange the business from any where makes it easy for me to keep working in the shop while she can manage the business from home.
I will admit the price tag was a little intimidating but in one month we realized it eliminated easily 5+ hours a week of computer work. Even if your shop rate is $100/hour you will more than pay for the monthly fee in one week by increased productivity.

Having spent over 45 years in the Automotive Repair Industry, Tekmetric is the best shop management program I've ever used. Now I'm a high school automotive teacher and Tekmetric provides this outstanding program to my students and I free of charge. They have a great product and they're investing in the future of our industry. It's definitely a win-win.

Their desktop version is very good and does everything as advertised. Sometimes the labor times are hard to find but that is a rare occurrence. The app is however absolute garbage as it does not allow the techs to do anything on it including log hours etc. If the app was as good as the website product would rate it a 5.

Tekmetric has been a complete game changer for us! We used to use Quickbooks, and didn't realize how much money we WEREN'T making because of how easy it was for things to slip through the cracks! Tekmetric helps keep the work flow organized and makes ordering parts and communicating with customers very easy. Our customers love us now because they see how organized we are compared to other shops in our business. You can't go wrong here!

Unacceptable Delays and Poor Communication
We switched our texting service back to Tekmetric and gave them a clear 20-day deadline, emphasizing that texting is our primary communication tool with customers. They assured us the request would be escalated. 36 days later, our Tekmessage was still non-functional.
Despite multiple phone calls, texts, and emails, their only response was that they were waiting on a "third party" to fix the issue. It wasn’t until I sent a final email demanding resolution by the next business day that they finally resolved it—without any compensation, accountability, or concern for the extended outage.
A task that should have been completed on time, without interruption, took nearly double the requested time, leaving us without a critical communication tool. Unless Tekmetric takes serious action to improve their service and response times, I will actively look for new management software.

I've been with Tek Metric for about 3 years. Overall, it's been okay, but lately, they've dropped the ball. I lost my text messaging service, and despite multiple attempts, going on 3 weeks now email or phone call every day sometimes more than one, to resolve this. From the very first interaction Tek Metric has passed the blame on to Me. Stating I must have changed something. Tek metric told me to uninstall and reinstall their program, when that didn't work. They moved onto my phone provider, throwing them under the bus. Tek Metric wouldn't even take the help from my phone provider when they offered it. Once that claim was debunked, they moved onto my 10DLC that didn't stick either. Now it's a third party's problem? they outsource their Technolgy to other companies but claim it as their own? Making me wait a week for this third party to get around to me, they claimed to have restored it. It still doesn't work, it never did. I followed up with Kameron "my customer service rep" has chosen to ignore all of my follow up emails, expect after a phone call asking for a new customer serve rep, did he finally respond with a generic response acknowledging the problem but not offering any further assistance. Communication has been awful—no follow-ups, no responses to emails, and no transparency about the third-party issue. They have finally admitted this is a known problem, but they couldn’t give me more info, and no one seems to care. They told me many other people have been waiting a lot longer than I have been and this is a first come first serve basis. So why would they point blame at Me? as a client. If this is a known issue why not just tell me this? It's been over 3 weeks now begging and pleading for them to help me. I will give Tek Metric props. No matter who I was dealing with They all stayed consistent with their message. "It's not our issue its someone else problem" Kudos Tek Metric you have trained your staff well.
They cannot tell me where I fall on this list nor how long it will take to restore my texting. It’s frustrating to feel ignored. I have advocated to other shop owners at conventions when I see Tek Metric or to one of their competitors. Tek Metric’s customer service and tech support need serious improvement. I expected more from a company this size. They claim to be the industry leader. But they have clearly forgotten about their clients, I am just a drop in the bucket to them. They have completely deflected all responsibility as not their problem.

It's not hard to see their true colors. What makes any company great is how they handle problems. Sorry Tek Metric you're not as good as you think you are.

Fairly complicated system coming from paper invoices. Kept it for a year and used it very little. They raised the price substantially once and then again after a year so I cancelled. Glad I didn’t get used to it as I feel they will keep taking more and more money each month.
