DQ is better in Texas. More food items. More options. Better everything. Had to take advantage of their Reese's Pieces that are in stock currently...to have the only Blizzard I used to order as a kid. Last one I had was over 10 years ago. If a picture could say 1000 words, what a story this one would tell.

Slow service, ended up leaving before getting my food. It wasn’t busy, shouldn’t take 10 minutes to get my food when there is only 3 people in the drive though and me being second in line.

I had two people in front of me and the cashier took their orders. He turned around without saying a word and started doing other things. There were three people working and not one of them said anything to me. After 5 minutes of being ignored. I got one of the girls attention and ask her if she could see me or was I invisible. She took my order and ignored everything. I said it would be nice if you would tell customers you will be with you in a few minutes. She stated that they were busy, I said I know you’re busy but it only takes a second to say you’ll be with somebody in a few minutes. I could tell the girl was mad at me.
There was no problem with my order when I got it.

My partner and I are currently traveling across the country, taking the scenic route. We stopped at this Dairy Queen out of sheer desperation because there’s no other fast food between the areas we’re traveling. We were PLEASANTLY surprised. The service was extremely fast. The staff were all very kind and accommodating. We don’t typically get regular food at Dairy Queen, just ice cream, and we were stunned. The staff here clearly knows that they’re the only people for miles and they take it seriously. Our food was cooked extremely well, it all tasted really great and we were able two feed two people for $16. If you’re traveling in rural Texas and happen thru Sterling City and need somewhere to eat, I highly recommend it. We got chicken strip baskets!
