Had a Microsoft complex MS Key access issue that we could not resolve with their AI, no one to talk with anymore, to fix log-in; went to the local list of private computer business services in Cape May and Ocean county, was 0-3 before I got to Seaside Computers, when I say it took 5 minutes to resolve, I'm exaggerating by a minute or two, we were a day away from another $600 laptop purchase, great customer service conversation and super skilled to fix software problems.

Long overdue for a major PC overhaul, I worked with Tim at Seaside Computers to scope out what kind of machine I was looking for, what my budget was, and what the best way to build it would be. He made it easy, he worked with me on each major part of the process, and when it was assembled, he helped resolve an unexpected problem with the motherboard. The machine works great, and I've got Seaside Computers to thank.

The build was a (within reason) top-of-the-line gaming rig that would re-purpose my hard drives and peripherals, but upgrade everything else. I have a workable familiarity with computers from using them my whole life, but things like power usage, part compatibility, benchmarking, the terminology, and the configuration are pretty alien to me. Tim worked with me on selecting parts that worked with each other - getting a power supply that could handle the wattage of the GPU and the motherboard, with some to spare, getting RAM and the SSD that would work with the version of motherboard I'd selected... we constructed a list of parts we knew would work together, and work well.

I was looking for a specific look for the case, and he was able to float some brands he'd seen in the past with that sort of look. We settled on a Fractal case, which I absolutely couldn't be happier with. It's got the look I wanted. For the graphics card, I honestly did not know how far back I could go for price savings before I started seeing significant drops in performance, and Tim helped me find that exact line between price and performance where I was comfortable. We weighed some pricier options, but in the end, he encouraged me to go with the one I felt comfortable with price-wise, and I'm happy I did.

The assembly went smoothly, with Tim guiding the multitude of questions I had on installing the processor, attaching the cooler with the thermal paste, quirks between Intel and AMD CPUs, installing the NVME SSD (which I'd never seen before), and plugging it all into the right slot on the power supply (which is not super well-explained in the instructions).

Once the PC was built, I ran into an unexpected issue where a red light would appear on the motherboard, on the DRAM LED. We investigated the issue, found a few possible explanations, and logically troubleshoot the problem, doing things like reducing the number of RAM sticks in play to remove factors, reseating the power supply cables and GPU, and finally, performing a needed BIOS update to get the board to boot properly. After that was resolved, installation of Windows went perfectly, and the machine has been running like a dream since.

I'm very happy I worked with Seaside Computers on this project. This was an ambitious build - far more so than any others I've done in the past - and Tim knows his stuff back to front. There was nothing I asked that he didn't know, or didn't know how to find the answer to. That was invaluable in overcoming the various unexpected blockers that came at us sideways during this build. Definitely indent to work with Tim in the future.

Just recently needed to get my pc and laptop checked out so I called up seaside, Tim was extremely helpful and knowledgeable(specially cause I wasn’t) on what was going on

Ended up needing a power port replacement for the laptop, and also had him install a hard drive on the pc. He even went out of his way to get rid of some old hardware that was outdated and slowing down the laptop a ton, had no idea that was even going on but happy he caught it!

Overall, awesome experience. And to top it all off, didn’t even kill my wallet when I figured out the total

Definitely coming back if anything else happens, and will be recommending seaside to peeps who have computer problems

I was on a business trip, pitching potential HVAC upgrades to hotels and resorts in the New Jersey area when my laptop suddenly could no longer operate Zoom or Microsoft Outlook regardless of what internet connection I tried at either the venues or my hotel room.

I contacted Seaside Computer repair to see if they could trouble shoot the problem as I had neither the time nor the expertise to diagnose the problem.

Despite the late hour and tight turnaround time that I required to fulfill my own obligations, Tim Suttera gave me a realistic solution and then went above and beyond to get everything running for me, just like new.
