I loved my experience there! I went on a Sunday morning before the churches seemed to let out, around 10:00, and our party of 5 was seated instantly. Our waitress, whose name I begrudgingly do not remember, was wonderful. She was helpful with suggestions and was very friendly. Everything was decently priced plus the food was amazing. I’ll come back when in the area!

Place is beautiful. People are great. The food is bland . Cheesesteak had cheese sauce on it and only on the top so 75% of it was dry . Nachos had a cheese sauce also , there was no flavor , was not even sure what I was eating.
Bathrooms weee a mess. Toilet paper all over the floors , pint job half done .
There was vegan and gluten free selection , but after eating and trying my friends food, I can’t believe the vegan and gluten free would even be good .

I could definitely see why this place is a hit. The decor is wild and a lot to look at. There is art all over the walls that I do believe is able to be purchased.
Very popular brunch spot. The food was good. No complaints on that. They do give you a good portion. There were some dishes that were a little lacking on flavor. But it definitely would not deter me from recommending or visiting again. Definitely go to experience this place!

Love this place!!
We went as a group of seven and had an awesome time. Our waitress was hilarious and super nice. We were seated in a cozy corner which was perfect for a cold night and fit us all well. We didn’t get any apps because we wanted to finish dinner, but for dinner we got the soy glazed salmon (x2), ravioli with crab, the chicken dish, pasta with red sauce, the paella, and pasta with pesto and scallops (build your own). I’ve heard from the others that all of their dishes were great, as was my pesto pasta. Overall a great experience tonight as always!

Being vegan we are always looking for places with good options and we found them here at the Mad Batter. We were guests in the hotel & found all aspects of our stay enjoyable.

Owning a vegan restaurant of my own chef Matt was very accommodating when I asked to speak with him. I was very interested in how they made the tofu for the scramble & he shared that & some other info I requested.

Our first night there I had the vegan crab cake entree & my husband the vegan paella, pictured here, we enjoyed both of entrees. For breakfast we both had the tofu scramble with a side of vegan sausage. We both enjoyed that as well. They do give very hefty portions.

This restaurant had good food and a fun atmosphere. I ordered a plain latte and the server suggested adding flavor so I did. There ended up being an extra charge of a dollar for mocha flavor which was not indicated on the menu or by the server, it felt a little deceitful.

After hearing so many great things about this place, I decided to give it a try—and it did not disappoint!

From the moment I walked in, I was struck by how charming and inviting the restaurant was. I was greeted right away and promptly seated. Our waitress was attentive, professional, and wonderfully friendly, which made the experience even better.

I ordered the fish and chips, and they were absolutely delicious—perfectly crispy and flavorful. It’s clear why this place has such a great reputation!

Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area.

We had a wonderful experience at Mad Batter on March 29th after a fun visit to the Cape May Zoo. This family-owned restaurant came highly recommended by my son’s kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Davies, and it did not disappoint!

We arrived around 4 PM with our kids and were warmly welcomed. Our server, Ioanna, was fantastic—she was kind, attentive, and went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. When my son asked for a blank sheet to draw, she happily found one for him, which was such a sweet gesture. She also made sure our food arrived in a timely manner and checked in on us throughout our meal.

The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, perfect for families. One of the highlights for us was the private restrooms with a baby changing table, which was incredibly convenient for our little one.

As for the food—the portions were huge! Even the kids’ pizza was the size of an adult portion, so we ended up taking some leftovers home. Everything was delicious, and we truly enjoyed our meal.

After dinner, we took a lovely stroll by the ocean before heading home, making for a perfect end to the day. Our total bill for two adults and four kids was $135, and of course, we left a 20% tip for the wonderful service. If you receive great service, I always encourage tipping to show appreciation!

We truly enjoyed our visit to Mad Batter and will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend this spot to anyone visiting Cape May!
