My overall experience was good. It wasn't until I got home that I realized what they had done. I was sent an email stating that there was extremely strong fish smell in the vehicle and charged me $500 for a deep cleaning. We had 5 people in this vehicle for 6 days. We transported fish one time, for a total of 5 minutes from the fish processor to our rental property for dinner. I intentionally put the package on a rubber mat to ensure that it wouldn't leak on the interior. The only other time we had fish was when we picked it up to bring to the airport, it was already frozen.

The real issue is there was no one to receive the vehicle when we got to the airport at 7:00am, their office was completely dark. I would have happily had a conversation with someone, even if it was to call me and tell me that they were smelling fish. There were no calls and they just did what they wanted. There was no way that it was what they made it out to be. Pretty easy for them to take advantage of their contract, when I was already gone.

Make sure there is someone to receive the vehicle from the rental company, regardless the time of day, so that you don't encounter this same treatment.

We stayed at beautiful 7 bedroom home for this same time period and never had one complaint from the homeowner.

Truck was fine but I was charged $60+ additional dollars after driving a total of 32 miles for the entire rental period. The gas gauge was still on full but they feel it was not past the full mark as when it started. 2 gallons of gas at most = an extra $60 charge. Feels like a nickel and dime charge.

The pick up location inside Kodiak airport was super convenient given that it was in the same lobby as baggage claim. They gave me a great 2024 Bronco which was a lovely rental. At drop off I didn’t have to park in the rental car parking lot and could drop it off right in front of the airport (rental lot is a 5 min walk). I mistimed my Kodiak flight and didn’t get to a gas station, even the refill rate was reasonable. Happy to support a local business and you should too!

Easy and fast process to pick up the car and drop off. Car was ready for us on arrival and clean. Price was great. Will definitely use them again on our next trip
