I'm not usually the type to rate or review any business regardless of a negative or positive experience with a company. However, I was immensely impressed with these folks. (Disclaimer, I am not an engineer in any sense and didn't even remotely realize the issues with my design) I had an idea for a tool that would aid with kitchen remodels, made up a drawing, and sent them out to some north FL manufacturing businesses to get a quote for a prototype for testing. After receiving many quotes, I was immediately overwhelmed with the price ranges and wasn't really sure what a decent middle ground was.

IMS was the needle in the haystack I didn't know I needed. Every other business was ready to give me a price to produce an item that was going to fail. However, Randy at IMS didn't immediately give me a price but took the time to let me know that my design would be prone to breaking after so many uses because I had no radius or chamfers anywhere on my design to help deter cracking in stress points.

After changing my drawing with advice from this company to better my design, I resubmitted a drawing and received a prototype that was even better than I imagined it would look, I wasn't upset with the estimate I was given, but I did have high expectations of quality. These guys blew me away on the honesty, advice, price for quality ratio as well as timeliness.

The only reason I gave this company a 1 is to post this comment.
Called Rick once, 2 days later had to call again to REMIND him to give me contact information so I could send pics and info to him to get a quote. To date i still have not received a quote. In my opinion, when you’re in a service oriented business you should be more service oriented. If this company did not want to enclose an estimate to me perhaps they should have said something from the beginning. I wish them luck in future endeavors but if they act in this fashion i can not see how they stay in business. Needless to say I am very disappointed in Rick.
